Description: This Lid Switch Kit is a replacement part for specific Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool washing machine models. This part is responsible for detecting whether the washing machine lid is closed. If the switch senses the lid is open, it prevents the washer from starting or continuing a cycle, thereby protecting users from potential injury caused by the spinning agitator or drum.
