Description: This Washer Water inlet valve is a replacement part for specific Kenmore, Maytag, Whirlpool brand washer models. The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the washer. It opens and closes the valve to allow water to enter the washer during the wash cycle. Then it shuts off the flow of water once the cycle is complete.  If a water inlet valve goes bad, it can cause a number of issues. One of the most common symptoms is a lack of water entering the washing machine. Additionally, a faulty water inlet valve can cause the washer to overflow or leak.
