Description: This Oven Igniter is a replacement part for select Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool gas oven models, responsible for igniting the gas burner that heats the oven. It works by drawing electrical current through the igniter filament, heating it to a high temperature until it glows and ignites the gas to start the cooking process.

This is an aftermarket part that can be used as a replacement for the OEM part.
