Description This dryer Thermal Fuse is a replacement part for specific Whirlpool, Kenmore dryer models. This disposable, one-time fuse ensures safe operation of your appliance by cutting off power if the temperature exceeds safe limits. A bad thermal fuse can cause your appliance to stop functioning or prevent it from turning on altogether. Symptoms of a bad thermal fuse include no heat or a dryer that won't start.

Thermal fuse. If the dryer overheats, this device stops the flow of electricity to the heat source and/or the entire dryer. It is located on the blower housing and cannot be reset. The most common cause for overheating is a vent tube clogged with lint, a birds nest or other debris. 


 

This is an aftermarket part that can be used as a replacement for the OEM part.
