⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator And Shut Off Water Supply Before Starting Disconnect power at the outlet and shut off the water supply before beginning. Wear work gloves. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall for access, then locate the valve at the rear of the cabinet. Remove the two hex screws securing the old valve. Before disconnecting anything, note or photograph which plastic tube connects to which port on the multi-port valve assembly — with three solenoids and multiple outlets, getting a hose on the wrong port will send water to the wrong place. Disconnect the water supply hose, the electrical connectors (which are color-coded to their matching solenoids on the new valve), and the outlet hoses, then remove the old valve. Install the new 242252702 in the same position with its included mounting bracket, secure it with the hex screws, and reconnect each outlet hose to its correct port exactly as noted. Reconnect the color-coded electrical connectors to their matching solenoid wires. Reattach the water supply hose, tightening securely. While the back of the refrigerator is accessible, it's also a good opportunity to clean the condenser coils and surrounding area.
