ERP 00754866 Dishwasher Door Spring Kit
The door spring and cable provide the tension needed to keep a dishwasher door from falling all the way to the floor when it is opened. If the spring or the cable fails, the door will fall and possibly break or land on a foot causing injury. Regular use and repeatedly opening and closing the door can cause the springs to stretch or the rope to fray on the cable, both of which lead to failure of the tension system. Replace both using this door spring and cable kit. Before starting this repair, disconnect the power from the dishwasher and remove the bolts holding the machine in place. Pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet. Take the old cable off the springs to remove both the cable and springs. Install the new cable and attach the new springs. Put the dishwasher back in its cabinet and secure it with the screws removed earlier. Reconnect the power. This door sprint and cable kit is made of nylon rope, plastic, and metal. It is sold as an individual unit. This kit is designed for use in dishwashers manufactured by Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador.
