Description: This Clutch is a Genuine OEM part compatible with specific Whirlpool, Maytag and Kenmore washing machines. It engages the transmission that drives the wash basket's rotation during agitation and spinning cycles. Without a functioning clutch, the washer cannot transition effectively between wash and rinse operations. The clutch measures 4-7/8 inches in diameter. Causes of a bad clutch can include wear from repetitive use over many years or damage to the clutch coil that triggers engagement.
