⚠️ Disconnect Power And Let The Oven Cool Unplug the range or switch off its breaker, let the oven cool completely and wear work gloves before you start. Remove the lower rack, take out the screw or screws holding the element, and pull it forward carefully. Disconnect the two wires at the terminals, and hold onto them so they don't fall back into the oven cavity. Connect the new element, secure it, restore power and run a short bake cycle to check that it heats.
