Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Dryer Before Starting Disconnect power at the outlet before beginning. Wear work gloves. Turn the two screws located at the bottom corners of the front panel counter-clockwise until they come out, then slide the panel up and off the dryer to access the door switch. Locate the wires connected to the old door switch and disconnect them, noting their positions. Remove the mounting screws or clips securing the old switch and pull it free. Install the new WE04X28977 in the same position, reconnect the wires to their original positions, and secure the mounting hardware. Slide the front panel back into place and secure the two bottom corner screws. Restore power and test that the dryer starts normally with the door closed, and stops if the door is opened during a cycle. Tools needed: screwdriver, wrench, pliers.
