⚠️ Unplug Power and Shut Off Water Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply before starting. Wearing gloves is recommended. Remove the water filter, and have towels ready since some water will remain in the lines. Following your model's service guide, disconnect the water lines from the old backing plate and remove the fasteners holding it to the refrigerator. Note how the lines and mounting are arranged, install the new plate in the same position, and reconnect the lines securely. Install the water filter, restore water and power, and check every connection for leaks. Run water through the dispenser for several minutes to flush air from the lines, then check again for leaks.
