Remove the lower dish rack, the impeller/spray arm, and the drain filter to access the interior floor of the tub. Working from underneath the dishwasher, release the drain hose from the pump using pliers, then hand-unscrew the drain pump and temperature sensor about a quarter-turn each, being careful to release the small clip holding the drain pump in place — leave both of these components in place, since they're not part of this replacement. Release the three levers that clamp the pump and motor assembly to the bottom of the dishwasher, positioned roughly at 0, 120, and 240 degrees around the assembly.
