⚠️ Safety First — Unplug Dryer Before Starting Unplug the dryer from the power source (and shut off the gas supply for gas dryers) before beginning any repair. To access the drum rollers, remove the top panel and front panel of the dryer, then release the drum belt tension at the idler pulley and lift the drum out of the cabinet. The two rear drum rollers are located on the rear bulkhead. Remove the mounting clip, slide the old roller off the shaft, and install the new DC97-16782A roller — the shaft thread is clockwise. Reinstall the mounting clip to secure the roller. Replace both rear rollers at the same time even if only one appears worn. Reassemble the dryer, restore power, and run a test cycle.
