⚠️ Disconnect Power Before Installing Unplug the washer before you begin. Remove the parts needed to reach the latch for your model, which on some washers includes the door boot or flex gasket. Disconnect the electrical plugs, remove the screws holding the old latch, and pull it out. Install the new latch, reconnect the plugs, and reassemble in reverse order. Restore power and run a test cycle to confirm the door locks. If the door is locked shut, unplug the washer, remove the bottom front service panel and pull the release tab on the bottom of the door lock to open it.
