⚠️ Shut Off Water Supply And Unplug Washer Before Starting — Watch For The Thermistor O-Ring Disconnect power at the outlet or shut off the circuit breaker, and shut off both hot and cold water supply valves before beginning. Wear work gloves. Access is typically behind the front control panel or top of the cabinet, depending on your model. The valve assembly is usually held in place with a metal plate and two screws. Photograph the wiring and hose connections before disconnecting anything. If your old valve has a thermistor (temperature sensor) mounted in front of the solenoids, it fits into a small hole in the bracket and uses an O-ring seal that's known to degrade and leak over time — this new valve does not include one, so you'll need to carefully transfer the thermistor and its gasket from the old valve to the new one. Disconnect the electrical connector and outlet hoses from the old valve, remove its mounting screws, and pull it free. Transfer the thermistor and gasket to the new WH13X26535 if applicable, then install it in the same position, reconnect all outlet hoses to their original positions, reconnect the electrical connector, and secure the mounting screws.
