XPARTCO WR55X26671 Refrigerator LED Light Board

Description

XPARTCO WR55X26671 Refrigerator LED Light Board

The XPARTCO WR55X26671 is an aftermarket replacement LED light board compatible with select GE and Hotpoint refrigerators, commonly used in side-by-side and French door models. The LED light board sits behind the light lens inside the refrigerator or freezer compartment and provides interior illumination when the door is opened. It features 3 LED light clusters that deliver brighter, more energy-efficient lighting compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. When the light board fails, the refrigerator interior will be dark, making it difficult to see food contents.

The board measures approximately 4" L x 3/8" W x 5/8" H with a white, yellow, and taupe plastic and metal construction. The surface is coated with three-proof paint to resist moisture damage from condensation inside the refrigerator. It directly replaces AP6035586, PS11767930, 4468532, EAP11767930, and PD00048392. Sold individually. Installs in under 5 minutes — no tools required in most cases.

Compatibility

This LED light board is compatible with select refrigerators from the following brands:

  • GE refrigerators — side-by-side models (GSS, GSE, DSE, CZS series and more)
  • GE refrigerators — French door models (select models)
  • Hotpoint refrigerators (select GE-platform models)

Important: Some GE refrigerator models use multiple LED light boards wired in series. If your refrigerator has more than one light board, all boards in the series may need to be replaced at the same time — a single failed board in a series circuit can cause all boards on that circuit to go dark. Verify how many boards your model uses before ordering. Always verify your model number before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

My refrigerator light is out — how do I know if it's the light board or the door switch?

The easiest test is to manually press the door switch (the small button inside the door frame that the door presses when closed) — if pressing it causes the light to turn off and releasing it causes it to come back on, the door switch is functioning and the light board itself has failed. If pressing the door switch has no effect and the light remains off, the door switch may be faulty. You can also inspect the light board visually — if any LED clusters are visibly dark, discolored, or burned, the board has failed.

My refrigerator uses multiple light boards — do I need to replace all of them?

Possibly yes. Some GE refrigerator models wire their LED light boards in a series circuit, where all boards share the same electrical path. If one board in the series fails, it can break the circuit and cause all boards on that circuit to go dark — even boards that are otherwise still functional. If your refrigerator went completely dark in a compartment that uses multiple boards, it is recommended to replace all boards in that series at the same time rather than trying to identify and replace a single failed board.

Is the WR55X26671 used in both the refrigerator and freezer sections?

Yes — on compatible GE models, the same WR55X26671 light board is used in both the fresh food compartment and the freezer compartment. If the light is out in only one section, that section's board (or boards) has failed. If both sections are dark simultaneously, the issue may be with the door switch, main control board, or wiring rather than the light boards themselves.

Why does the board ship in an anti-static bag?

The WR55X26671 contains sensitive electronic components that can be permanently damaged by static electricity discharge during handling. The anti-static bag prevents static buildup during shipping and storage. When installing the board, avoid touching the circuit board traces or components directly — handle it by the edges or plastic frame. Do not open the anti-static bag until you are ready to install.

Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?

This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine GE OEM part, but is manufactured with a three-proof moisture-resistant coating and to match the dimensions and performance of the original WR55X26671 LED light board.
