ADQ73613403 Refrigerator Water Filter
Description: This water filter is designed to remove impurities from the water and ice dispensed by your refrigerator, providing clean and fresh-tasting water. It effectively reduces contaminants such as chlorine, lead, mercury, and other particulates, ensuring safe drinking water for you and your family. You should replace this water filter if it becomes clogged or reaches the end of its usable life, typically every six months. Causes of a bad water filter can include normal usage leading to clogging, the accumulation of sediments and impurities over time, or damage to the filter casing. Failing to replace the filter regularly can also compromise its effectiveness.

Genuine OEM W11844302 Refrigerator Filter Head
The W11844302 is a genuine OEM water filter head assembly for Whirlpool refrigerators, and the current part number that supersedes the earlier W11808483. The filter head is the fitting inside the refrigerator that holds the water filter and routes incoming water through it to the water dispenser and ice maker. When the head cracks, leaks, or no longer seats the filter correctly, you can see water at the filter, lose flow to the dispenser or ice maker, or find the filter will not lock in or seal.
This is a genuine OEM part from Whirlpool, not an aftermarket equivalent, so the fit and the filter connection match what came with the refrigerator. It is the filter head only. The water filter itself is a separate part and is sold separately.
Quick Answer
The Genuine OEM W11844302 Filter Head fixes a Whirlpool refrigerator whose filter head is cracked, leaking, or no longer holding or sealing the water filter. Genuine OEM, the current number superseding W11808483 and a long list of earlier Whirlpool filter head numbers. Classic symptom: water dripping around the filter, a filter that won't lock in or seal, or reduced water flow to the dispenser and ice maker.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Water leaking from or around the filter head
Water filter won't lock in or seal properly
Reduced or no water from the dispenser or ice maker traced to the filter head
Cracked, broken, or damaged filter head housing
Worn filter connection that no longer holds the filter securely

⚠️ Shut Off Water and Unplug Power Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator and unplug it before starting. Remove the water filter, and have towels ready since some water will remain in the lines. Following your model's service guide, disconnect the water lines from the filter head and remove the screws or fasteners holding it to the refrigerator. Note how the lines and mounting are arranged, install the new filter head in the same position, and reconnect the lines securely. Install the water filter, restore water and power, and check every connection for leaks. Run water through the dispenser for several minutes to flush air from the lines, and check again for leaks.
Frequently Asked Questions
My water filter leaks or won't seal. Is this the part I need?
It can be. Check first that the filter is the correct one for your model and is fully seated. If the filter fits correctly but still leaks, or the head itself is cracked or damaged, replacing the filter head should fix it.
Does this include the water filter?
No. This is the filter head only. The water filter is sold separately.
My old filter head is marked W11808483, W10861009, or W11346623. Will this work?
All three numbers are on the Replaces list. Because filter heads vary between models, compare your old head and its mounting against this one, or contact our support team with your model number and we'll confirm before you order.
Is this a genuine Whirlpool part?
Yes. This is a genuine OEM Whirlpool part, not an aftermarket equivalent.

XPARTCO W10238100 Refrigerator Water Valve
The XPARTCO W10238100 is an aftermarket replacement single primary water inlet valve for Whirlpool-built refrigerators sold under the Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Inglis, and Ikea names. The valve is an electrically operated solenoid that opens to let water from the household supply line into the refrigerator's water system, and closes to stop it. When the valve fails, the refrigerator can stop supplying water to the dispenser and ice maker, make little or no ice, leak, or, if it no longer shuts off, overfill the ice maker and build up ice and frost.
This valve is a direct replacement for the OEM W10238100 / WPW10238100 and is a simple repair for most owners, typically 15–30 minutes. Some refrigerators also use a separate dual-solenoid valve, so check the Compatibility note before ordering.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO W10238100 Water Valve fixes a Whirlpool-built refrigerator with no water at the dispenser, little or no ice, an overflowing ice maker, or a leak caused by a failed water inlet valve. Single primary water inlet valve, aftermarket replacement for W10238100 and WPW10238100. Classic symptom: the dispenser gives little or no water and the ice maker isn't making ice, even though the water supply is on.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Water dispenser not working, or giving only a trickle
Ice maker not making ice
Ice maker overflowing, with ice or frost buildup
Water leaking from the refrigerator
Valve making noise or not shutting off properly

Installation Notes
⚠️ Shut Off Water and Unplug Power Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator and unplug it before starting. Following your model's service guide, pull the refrigerator out and remove the rear access panel to reach the valve. Disconnect the water lines from the old valve, and the wiring connector from its solenoid, then remove the mounting screws. Install the new valve in the same position, reconnect the wiring and water lines securely, and replace the panel. Restore water and power, check every connection for leaks, and run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to flush the line. The valve needs at least 20 psi of water pressure to shut off properly, so if the ice maker still overflows, check the supply pressure.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dispenser has no water and the ice maker isn't working. Is this the part I need?
It can be. Before replacing the valve, check that the water supply is on, the supply line isn't kinked, and the water filter isn't clogged. If those are fine, a failed water inlet valve is a likely cause.
My ice maker is overflowing. Could it be the valve?
Yes. A valve that doesn't shut off fully will keep letting water in. Also confirm your water pressure is at least 20 psi, since low pressure can stop the valve from closing properly.
My refrigerator has a dual-solenoid valve. Will this work?
No. This is a single primary valve, and the dual-solenoid valve is a different part. Check your parts diagram or contact our support team with your model number.
Is this an OEM part?
No. This is an XPARTCO aftermarket replacement built to match the Whirlpool W10238100. If you prefer a genuine OEM valve, contact us.

AJU34125552 Genuine OEM LG Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve
The AJU34125552 is a genuine LG OEM water inlet valve for LG refrigerators, supplying water to both the ice maker and the door water dispenser from a single valve assembly. Mounted at the rear of the refrigerator where the household water supply line connects, this valve opens on command from the control board to admit water for either feature, and closes again once the request is satisfied.
Common causes of failure include mineral and sediment buildup from hard water interfering with the internal solenoid over time, and general electrical wear. A failing valve typically shows up as the ice maker no longer producing ice, the water dispenser slowing down or stopping entirely, or both symptoms appearing together since one valve serves both functions.
Quick Answer
The AJU34125552 Genuine OEM LG Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve fixes LG refrigerators where the ice maker stopped making ice, the water dispenser isn't working, water flow is slow, or there's a leak near the valve at the back of the refrigerator. Supplies both the ice maker and dispenser from one valve.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Ice maker has stopped making ice, or is producing less ice than usual
Water dispenser on the refrigerator door isn't working or has slowed down
Both the ice maker and water dispenser affected together
Slow water flow at the dispenser
Water leaking near the valve at the back of the refrigerator
No water or ice production at all
Valve failure following known hard water conditions at the home

⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator Before Starting — Store Perishable Food Separately Shut off the water supply and unplug the refrigerator before beginning, and move perishable food to a cooler for the duration of the repair. Wear work gloves. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall for access, then locate the valve at the rear of the cabinet where the water supply line connects. Photograph the wiring harness and water line connections before disconnecting anything. On some installations, the wiring harness has been routed between water supply lines, which can make the connector difficult to reach and unplug — if this is the case, gently reposition or loosen a water line first rather than forcing the connector. Disconnect the water supply line from the old valve, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the mounting screws holding the valve in place, then pull it free. Install the new AJU34125552 in the same position, secure the mounting screws, and reconnect the electrical connector fully — route the wiring the same way the original was routed, avoiding pinch points against the water lines if possible. Reattach the water supply line, tightening securely by hand plus a partial turn with pliers. Restore the water supply and check for leaks before restoring power. Push the refrigerator back into place and test both the ice maker and water dispenser over the following day to confirm normal operation. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench or pliers, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My ice maker and dispenser both stopped working at the same time. Is that normal for a valve failure?
Yes, this is actually a very telling symptom. Because one valve assembly supplies water to both the ice maker and the door dispenser, a failure inside the valve itself commonly affects both functions simultaneously. If only one of the two has stopped working while the other functions normally, it's worth double-checking the water filter and supply line for a localized restriction before assuming the valve has failed, but a simultaneous failure of both points strongly toward this valve.
The wiring harness on my old valve was hard to reach. Is that normal?
It can be, depending on how the original installation routed the wiring. Some installations run the harness between two water supply lines, which can make the connector awkward to access and unplug. If you find yourself in this situation, gently repositioning or loosening a nearby water line first — rather than forcing the connector — makes it much easier to disconnect without damaging anything.
Could hard water be why my valve failed?
Yes, this is a common and well-documented cause. Mineral deposits from hard water can build up inside the valve over time and interfere with the internal solenoid's ability to open and close properly, eventually leading to failure. If you know your home has hard water and this valve has failed, it may be worth considering a water softener or more frequent filter changes to extend the life of the replacement.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by LG to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It includes the same solenoid design and dual-function (ice maker and dispenser) configuration as the water inlet valve originally installed in your refrigerator.

Genuine OEM 242252603 Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve
The Genuine OEM Frigidaire 242252603 is the water inlet valve for select Frigidaire, Kenmore, Electrolux, Crosley and other Frigidaire-built refrigerators. When the valve is energized, it releases water from the supply line to the ice maker and the water dispenser. It sits in the back of the refrigerator, so the unit must be pulled away from the wall to reach it. When the valve fails, the ice maker may stop making ice, the dispenser may stop giving water, or water may leak.
This is the original Frigidaire part, not an aftermarket equivalent. It is sold individually. Check your model number before ordering, because similar-looking valves differ in size and shape.

W10341320 (OE) Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve
The W10341320 (OE) is an Original Equipment (OE) replacement dual secondary water inlet valve compatible with a wide range of Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators. This dual-solenoid valve controls water flow to two destinations — the refrigerator's water dispenser and the ice maker. Each solenoid opens independently when the control board calls for water at that destination, and closes the moment the call is dropped. When one or both solenoids fail, you lose water at the dispenser, ice production stops or slows, or the valve begins leaking at its connections.
Rated 110/120V, 50/60Hz. Dual solenoid: W1 = 20W, W2 = 35W. Important: this is the SECONDARY valve, not the primary water inlet valve — many Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators use both, and if your primary valve is working fine but you're still losing water or ice, the secondary valve is the likely culprit. It directly replaces WPW10341320, AP6019939, PS11753250, EAP11753250, 1937969, and K-78032. Common repair for leaks at the valve connections. Installs in about 30 minutes with basic hand tools and novice repair experience.
Quick Answer
The W10341320 (OE) Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve fixes Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, and Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators with no water through the door, an ice maker that won't make ice or makes too little ice, or leaking at the valve connections. Dual secondary valve — dual solenoid (W1=20W, W2=35W), 110/120V, 50/60Hz. Original Equipment (OE) — same design and performance as the factory part, without the OEM label. Replaces WPW10341320, AP6019939, PS11753250, EAP11753250, 1937969, K-78032. This is the SECONDARY valve — not the primary water inlet valve (W10238100).
Common Problems This Part Fixes
No water dispensing through the door — dispenser solenoid failed
Ice maker not making ice — ice maker solenoid failed
Ice maker dispensing too little ice — solenoid partially failed or restricted
Water leaking from the valve or its connections
Water dispenser works but ice maker doesn't (or vice versa) — one of the two solenoids has failed
Weak or slow water flow at the dispenser
Ice cubes coming out hollow, small, or misshapen from insufficient water fill
Valve buzzing or humming without opening
Primary valve tests fine but the refrigerator still won't dispense water or make ice

Kenmore / Sears side-by-side refrigerators — select Whirlpool-built models
Important — This Is the SECONDARY Valve, Not the Primary: Many Whirlpool-platform side-by-side refrigerators use TWO water inlet valves: a primary valve (typically W10238100 / WPW10238100) where the household water line enters the refrigerator, and this dual secondary valve (W10341320) that splits flow between the dispenser and the ice maker. If your primary valve is functioning correctly but you're still not getting water or ice, the secondary valve is the likely culprit. Before ordering, confirm which valve your refrigerator's parts diagram calls for at the position you're replacing. Contact our support team with your model number if you're unsure.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator and Shut Off Water Supply Before Starting — Wear Work Gloves Unplug the refrigerator (or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance) and turn off the refrigerator's water supply at the shutoff valve before beginning. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. Safely store any food that could spoil during the repair. Have towels ready — residual water remains in the lines and will spill when disconnected. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall to access the rear. The secondary water inlet valve is typically mounted at the back of the refrigerator, downstream of the primary valve where the household water line enters. Photograph the water line and wire harness connections before disconnecting anything — with two solenoids and multiple water lines, correct reconnection matters. Disconnect the water lines from the valve (use a 1/2" wrench where needed) and catch any residual water with a towel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from both solenoids. Remove the mounting screws holding the valve bracket in place and lift out the old valve. Install the new W10341320 (OE) valve in the same position and orientation, secure the mounting hardware, and reconnect the water lines — tighten fittings snugly without over-torquing. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the correct solenoids, matching your photos. Turn the water supply back on and check every connection for leaks BEFORE pushing the refrigerator back into place. Restore power. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to purge air from the lines, and discard the first few batches of ice. Tools needed: Multi-screwdriver, 1/2" wrench, nut driver, towels, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "OE" mean and how is it different from Genuine OEM?
OE (Original Equipment) parts are produced to the same design and performance standards as the original factory part, but they are not sold under the appliance brand's OEM label. They provide the same fit and function as the OEM part at a more affordable price. The W10341320 (OE) water inlet valve matches the electrical specifications (110/120V, 50/60Hz, dual solenoid W1=20W / W2=35W), dual-secondary valve design, connections, and physical fit of the original Whirlpool OEM part, and installs identically. The main difference from a Genuine OEM Whirlpool part is the branding and warranty — the OE version delivers equivalent performance without the OEM price premium.
What's the difference between the primary and secondary water inlet valve?
Many Whirlpool-platform side-by-side refrigerators use two water inlet valves working in series. The primary valve (typically W10238100 / WPW10238100) is where the household water supply line first enters the refrigerator — it's the main gatekeeper for water entering the appliance. The secondary valve (this W10341320) sits downstream and splits that flow between the water dispenser and the ice maker via its two independent solenoids. Both can fail independently. The key diagnostic: if the primary valve is working correctly (water is reaching the refrigerator) but you're still not getting water at the dispenser or ice from the ice maker, the secondary valve is the likely culprit. Check your model's parts diagram to confirm which valve you need.
My water dispenser works but the ice maker doesn't — can this still be the valve?
Yes, absolutely. This is a dual-solenoid valve — one solenoid feeds the water dispenser, the other feeds the ice maker. They fail independently. If your dispenser works fine but the ice maker isn't getting water (no ice, or hollow/small cubes), the ice maker solenoid on this valve may have failed while the dispenser solenoid still works. The reverse is also true. Before replacing the valve, also verify the ice maker itself is turned on (check the wire signal arm position) and that the water line to the ice maker isn't frozen or kinked — those produce similar symptoms.
Is this a common fix for leaks?
Yes — leaks at the water inlet valve's connections are one of the most common reasons this part gets replaced. Over time, the valve body or its fittings can develop cracks or the internal seals can degrade, producing a slow drip that pools behind or under the refrigerator. If you've found water behind your fridge and traced it to the valve area, replacing the valve typically resolves it. When installing the new valve, tighten the water line fittings snugly but don't over-torque them — over-tightening can crack the fitting and create a new leak. Always check all connections for leaks before pushing the refrigerator back against the wall.
Should I flush the water lines after installing the new valve?
Yes. After the new valve is installed and the water supply is restored, run water through the dispenser for several minutes to purge trapped air from the lines — air pockets cause sputtering and inconsistent flow. Also discard the first two or three batches of ice the ice maker produces, since they may contain air, debris, or residual manufacturing material from the new valve. After that, water and ice should return to normal quality and flow.
