Causes of a bad evaporator fan motor include failure due to normal wear and tear over time, damage due to improper cleaning, or issues with the motor's electronic components.
WPW10348269 Genuine OEM Whirlpool Dishwasher Drain Pump Motor
The WPW10348269 is a genuine Whirlpool OEM drain pump motor for Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, Crosley, Estate, Inglis, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, and Roper dishwashers. This pump uses an electric motor to create suction, pulling wastewater out of the tub and expelling it through the drain hose at the end of each cycle. This is the dedicated drain pump, distinct from a circulation pump — such as our WPW10605057 listing — which handles spraying water through the spray arms during the wash itself rather than draining it afterward.
Rated 120VAC, 60Hz, 45W, 0.7A, with a run time pattern of 5 minutes on, 30 minutes off. Ships as a complete pump motor with impeller and O-ring. If the impeller becomes damaged or the motor shorts out and stops draining, the pump body itself can crack over time, leading to leakage — replacing the pump before that happens is the more reliable fix. Symptoms of a failing drain pump include water not draining from the tub, unusual noise such as grinding during the drain phase, or visible leaks from underneath the unit. It directly replaces W10348269, W10084573, 661662, 8558995, 8565839, W10158351, WPW10348269VP, AP6020066, AWP49992, PD00004898, PS11753379

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Dishwasher Before Starting — Removing The Unit Makes Access Easier Disconnect power at the outlet or shut off the circuit breaker before beginning. Wear work gloves. This repair can be done without pulling the dishwasher out from under the counter, but many technicians find it considerably easier to access the pump if you do pull the unit out first. Remove the lower rack and any components blocking access to the tub floor, then work from underneath the dishwasher to reach the drain pump. Test the old pump for continuity with a multimeter before removing it — if it shows no continuity, or if it's getting power but still won't run, that confirms the pump has failed. Photograph the wiring and hose connections before disconnecting anything. Disconnect the electrical connector and the drain hose connection from the old pump, remove its mounting hardware, and pull it free. Install the new WPW10348269 in the same position, reconnect the drain hose connection securely, and reconnect the electrical connector fully. Reinstall any components removed for access and the lower rack. Restore power, run a test cycle, and check underneath for leaks while confirming the tub drains completely at the end. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 5/16" nut driver, 5/8" wrench, flathead screwdriver, multimeter, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter for this repair?
Not strictly — this pump can be replaced without fully removing the dishwasher. That said, several customers who've done this repair note that pulling the unit out first makes access considerably easier, since you're working from underneath the appliance either way. If you have the space to pull it out, it's worth doing to make the job smoother.
How do I know if the pump has actually failed?
Test the pump motor with a multimeter set to continuity before replacing it. If there's no continuity, or if the pump is receiving power but still won't run, that confirms the motor has failed and the pump should be replaced. This quick check avoids replacing a part that isn't actually the problem.
My old pump was leaking. Why does that happen?
If the impeller becomes damaged or the motor shorts out and stops running, the pump body itself can develop a crack over time, which leads to leakage. Rather than trying to repair a leaking pump, replacing the complete assembly resolves both the drainage failure and the leak at the same time.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by Whirlpool to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It matches the original motor, impeller, and hose connection configuration of the drain pump originally installed in your dishwasher.

WR49X25197 Refrigerator Genuine OEM Axial Evaporator Motor Replaces WR60X26866
The WR49X25197 is a genuine GE OEM axial evaporator fan motor for the fresh food evaporator on select GE French door refrigerators. Unlike a standard evaporator fan motor, this is an axial-design motor purpose-built for the fresh food side of the refrigeration system, using its blade geometry to move air efficiently and quietly through that compartment's evaporator coil for precise, consistent temperature control.
Rated 13.6VDC, 0.16A. Manufactured by Nidec, designation V80E14MS2A3-57A611. Over time, motor bearings wear out or the motor can fail electrically, and symptoms typically include the fresh food compartment running warm while the freezer remains unaffected, unusual noise from the fresh food evaporator area, or inconsistent cooling in that compartment specifically, since this motor doesn't serve the freezer side at all. It directly replaces WR60X26866, WR60X10341, WR60X24303, WR60X26033, WR60X10356, WR60X10357, WR60X26030, 239D1412P001, 239D1412P006, and AP6278228.
Quick Answer
The WR49X25197 Genuine OEM GE Axial Evaporator Motor fixes GE French door refrigerators where the fresh food compartment specifically runs warm, there's unusual noise from the fresh food evaporator area, or fresh food cooling is inconsistent while the freezer works fine. 13.6VDC, 0.16A axial motor. Replaces WR60X26866, WR60X10341, WR60X24303, WR60X26033, WR60X10356, WR60X10357, WR60X26030, 239D1412P001, 239D1412P006, AP6278228. If your refrigerator was manufactured between May 2014 and March 2015 (serial range HD–FF), the control software must also be updated by factory service or a Software Update Module (WR98R882802) for this motor to perform correctly.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Fresh food compartment running warm while the freezer stays normal
Unusual noise coming from the fresh food evaporator area
Inconsistent or fluctuating temperature in the fresh food section specifically
Fresh food evaporator fan not spinning or spinning intermittently
Reduced airflow affecting fresh food cooling performance

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator Before Starting — Check Your Manufacture Date For A Software Update Requirement Disconnect power at the outlet before beginning, and move perishable food to a cooler for the duration of the repair. Wear work gloves. Before starting, check your refrigerator's serial number/manufacture date sticker (typically inside the fresh food compartment) — if your unit was made between May 2014 and March 2015 with a serial range of HD through FF, plan for a control software update via factory service or a Software Update Module (WR98R882802) after installing this motor, since without it the new motor may not perform correctly. Access to the fresh food evaporator is typically through an interior panel in the fresh food compartment, separate from the freezer's evaporator access — check your model's service diagram. If there's frost or ice buildup around the fan or coil, let the unit sit unplugged with the door open for a few hours before continuing. Photograph the wiring harness connector and the fan blade's orientation before disconnecting anything. Unplug the wiring harness connector from the old motor, remove the mounting screws or clips holding the motor bracket in place, and pull the motor and fan blade assembly free. Mount the new WR49X25197 in the same position, reconnect the wiring harness connector fully, and confirm the blade spins freely by hand without contacting the housing before reassembling the panel. Restore power and monitor the fresh food compartment over the next 24 hours to confirm even, consistent cooling has returned. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My fresh food section runs warm but the freezer is fine. Is this the right part?
Yes, this is exactly the symptom pattern this motor addresses, since it's dedicated specifically to the fresh food evaporator rather than serving both compartments. If your freezer is cooling normally and only the fresh food section is warm or inconsistent, this axial motor is a strong candidate for the cause.
Do I really need a software update after installing this motor?
Only if your refrigerator falls into a specific manufacturing window: units made between May 2014 and March 2015, identifiable by a serial range of HD through FF. For those units, GE's own guidance states the control software must be updated by factory service or with a Software Update Module (WR98R882802) for the new motor to perform correctly. If your refrigerator falls outside that date range, this step isn't necessary — check your serial number sticker to confirm which category your unit falls into.
Is this the same as a regular evaporator fan motor?
Not quite — this is an axial-design motor built specifically for the fresh food evaporator on GE French door refrigerators, distinct from general evaporator fan motors that serve the freezer side or both compartments together. Always confirm your model number and which compartment's fan has failed before ordering.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by GE to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It matches the original axial motor design, blade fitment, and electrical rating of the fresh food evaporator motor originally installed in your refrigerator.

XPARTCO WR60X26866 Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor
The XPARTCO WR60X26866 is an aftermarket replacement axial evaporator fan motor for the fresh food section of select GE French door refrigerators, including the CFE28, CFE29, CWE23, CYE22, CYE23, DFE28, DFE29, GFD28, GFE26, GFE27, GFE28, GFE29, GFS26, GFS28, GNE26, GNE29, GYE22, GYS22, PFD28, PFE28, PFE29, PWE23, PYD22, PYE22, PYE23, and ZWE23 series. The evaporator fan motor pulls air through the evaporator coils to remove heat from the circulating air inside the refrigerator. Without a functioning evaporator fan, the refrigerator compartment cannot maintain its target temperature even when the compressor and condenser are running normally — the cold air generated at the evaporator simply isn't being circulated to the food storage areas.
The WR60X26866 is a DC motor rated at 13.6V DC, 0.16A, with a fan housing measuring 3-4/7"L x 2"W x 3-1/8"H, plus a multi-color wire harness and plug approximately 11-1/2" long. It includes the axial fan blade and harness as a complete assembly. It directly replaces WR60X26033, WR60X26030, WR60X24303, WR60X10341, WR60X10356, WR60X10357, WR02X13733, 239D1412P006, V80E14MS2A3-57A611, 8817V-W1, 4546026, AP5985039, AP6278228, EAP12172983, PD00038765, PS11721915, and PS12172983. Important: if your refrigerator was built between May 2014 and March 2015 with serial range FF–HD, the unit's software must be updated before installing this fan motor — see FAQ below. Installs in 20–30 minutes with basic hand tools.

⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator and Move Perishable Food Before Starting — Wear Work Gloves Unplug the refrigerator and safely store any food that could spoil while the power is off. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. The evaporator fan motor for the fresh food section is mounted on the back wall of the fresh food (refrigerator) compartment, behind an access panel. Take a photo of the existing fan position and wire harness routing before disconnecting. Remove the shelves and any internal components blocking access to the back wall, then remove the screws holding the rear access panel in place. Disconnect the fan motor's wire harness connector and remove the mounting screws securing the old motor. Note the fan blade orientation on the motor shaft. Install the new WR60X26866 motor assembly in the same position with the blade facing the same direction, reconnect the wiring harness, and reinstall the mounting screws and access panel. Replace the shelves and other internal components, restore power, and confirm the fan spins and the refrigerator cools properly. Allow several hours for the refrigerator to return to its set temperature before reloading with food. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 1/4" nut driver, work gloves.

My fridge is warm but my freezer is cold — is the evaporator fan motor the problem?
Yes — this is one of the most recognizable symptoms of evaporator fan motor failure on GE French door refrigerators with a separate fresh food evaporator. The freezer side has its own cooling circuit and remains cold, while the fresh food side relies on this fan to circulate air across its evaporator coils. When the fan fails, the freezer continues working but the fresh food compartment loses its cold air supply, warming up while the freezer stays at temperature. If you also notice frost building up on the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the fresh food compartment, the fan failure is confirmed.
What is the software update requirement for May 2014 – March 2015 refrigerators?
GE issued a software update for certain refrigerators manufactured between May 2014 and March 2015 (serial range FF–HD) before they could properly support newer revisions of the WR60X26866 evaporator fan motor. If your refrigerator falls in this date and serial range, the control software must be updated before installing this fan motor — either by GE factory service or by using the Software Update Module part WR98R882802. Installing the new fan on an unupdated unit can result in improper performance. Check the serial number plate inside your refrigerator (typically on the left side wall) to confirm whether your unit is affected. Refrigerators built outside this range do not require the update.
How do I test if the evaporator fan motor has failed?
Unplug the refrigerator, then access the fan behind the rear panel of the fresh food compartment. First, try turning the fan blade by hand — if it doesn't spin freely, is stiff, or seizes, the motor bearing has failed. Next, listen during normal operation — if the motor is unusually noisy or makes a grinding sound, the bearings are worn even if it still spins. Finally, with the unit unplugged and the motor disconnected, use a multimeter on the motor windings to check for continuity. If the windings show no continuity, the motor has failed electrically. Also check for approximately 11–14V DC at the connector when the refrigerator is running — if voltage is present but the motor doesn't spin, the motor has failed.
My fridge has two evaporator fans — which one does this replace?
Some GE French door refrigerators have separate evaporator fan motors for the freezer and the fresh food sections. The WR60X26866 is the fresh food evaporator fan motor — it's the axial fan located behind the rear panel of the fresh food compartment, not in the freezer. If your symptom is "freezer cold, fridge warm," this is the correct part. If your symptom is "freezer warm" or "ice maker not making ice but fridge is fine," the freezer evaporator fan motor (a different part number) is more likely the cause. Confirm which compartment has the cooling problem before ordering.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine GE OEM part, but is manufactured to match the dimensions, fan housing, electrical specifications, and pre-attached wire harness configuration of the original WR60X26866 evaporator fan motor.

WR60X31522 Genuine OEM GE Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor
The WR60X31522 is a Genuine OEM GE replacement evaporator fan motor compatible with select GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and Americana top-mount freezer refrigerators. The evaporator fan motor is located at the back of the freezer compartment and circulates air across the evaporator coils — converting the heat from the air into cool air that's then distributed throughout both the freezer and fresh food sections. Without a properly functioning evaporator fan, the refrigerator can't move cold air where it's needed, causing the fresh food and/or freezer sections to warm up, ice to build up on the coils, and the compressor to run continuously trying to compensate.
This 115V AC motor is rated at 60Hz, 3.3W and uses a 2-pin connector plus ground wire. Dimensions are 3-1/4"L x 2-3/8"W x 3-3/8"H, with a harness and plug extending approximately 3-1/2" from the motor. Construction is plastic and metal in marbled white & gray. Note: this listing is for the motor with harness only — the fan blade may need to be transferred from the old motor. It directly replaces WR60X10045, WR60X10046, WR60X10072, WR60X10138, WR60X10141, WR60X10346, WR60X23584, WR60X27646, WR60X28783, WR60X28784, WR60X31122, WR60X31523, 4959523, 197D2038P031, AP6977246, EAP12741350, PD00062864, and PS12741350. ⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator and Move Perishable Food Before Starting — Wear Work Gloves Unplug the refrigerator and safely store any food that could spoil while the power is off. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. The evaporator fan motor is located at the back of the freezer compartment, behind an interior access panel. Remove the freezer shelves and any internal components blocking access to the rear panel. Remove the screws holding the rear access panel in place to expose the evaporator coils and fan motor. Photograph the wire connections and fan blade orientation before disconnecting. Disconnect the 2-pin wire harness connector and the ground wire from the old motor. Note the orientation of the fan blade on the motor shaft — the blade typically presses onto the shaft and may need to be transferred to the new motor. Remove the mounting screws or release the motor from its mounting bracket, and pull the old motor free. Carefully transfer the fan blade to the new WR60X31522 motor in the same orientation (or use a new blade if you have one). Install the new motor in the same position, reconnect the wire harness and ground wire, and reinstall the access panel and shelves. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow several hours for the unit to return to its set temperature before reloading with food. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 1/4" nut driver, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if the evaporator fan motor has failed?
The most common symptoms are: the refrigerator or freezer is warmer than its set temperature even though the compressor sounds like it's running normally; heavy frost or ice buildup on the evaporator coils behind the freezer access panel ("Antarctica" frost); and loud whining, grinding, or scraping noise from the freezer area. To confirm: unplug the refrigerator, remove the rear freezer access panel, and try turning the fan blade by hand. If it doesn't spin freely or is stiff/seized, the motor bearing has failed. You can also test for motor continuity with a multimeter — no continuity confirms electrical failure.
My refrigerator has two evaporator fans — which one does this replace?
Some refrigerator models have two evaporator fan motors — one in the fresh food section and one in the freezer section. The WR60X31522 is typically the freezer-section evaporator fan motor on top-mount style GE and Hotpoint refrigerators. If your symptom is "freezer not cooling properly" or "frost on freezer coils," this is the correct part. If your symptom is specifically "fresh food section warm while freezer is fine" on a French door refrigerator, you may need a different fan motor — contact our support team with your model number to confirm.
Does this motor come with the fan blade?
No — the WR60X31522 listing is for the motor with harness and plug only. The fan blade is typically transferred from the old motor: carefully pull it off the old motor shaft (it presses on, no hardware needed), and press it onto the new motor shaft in the same orientation. If your old fan blade is damaged or cracked, it should be replaced separately. Installing the blade in the wrong direction will reverse the airflow and reduce cooling performance.
What's the difference between the WR60X31522 (115V AC) and DC motors like the WR60X10209 or WR60X26866?
GE refrigerators use different fan motor technologies across model generations. The WR60X31522 is a 115V AC motor with a 2-pin connector plus ground — used in many GE and Hotpoint top-mount freezer refrigerators. The WR60X10209 and WR60X26866 are DC voltage motors (around 11–14V DC) used in newer GE French door refrigerators with electronic control boards that supply variable DC voltage for energy-efficient variable-speed fan operation. These are not interchangeable — always verify the correct part number for your specific refrigerator model before ordering.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a Genuine OEM part manufactured by GE to factory specifications. It is the exact same evaporator fan motor installed in compatible GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and Americana refrigerators from the factory — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance.

EAU61524007 Genuine OEM LG Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor
The EAU61524007 is a genuine LG OEM evaporator fan motor for LG and select Kenmore refrigerators. This motor circulates air over the evaporator coil and distributes that cooled air into the fresh food and freezer compartments in a balanced way, which is what keeps temperatures even throughout the refrigerator and helps prevent frost from building up on the coil.
DC-powered, white in color, with an assembled height of approximately 1 inch. Over time, the motor's bearings can wear out, or general electrical failure can set in from years of continuous cycling. A failing evaporator fan motor produces a wide range of symptoms since it affects both compartments and the defrost system: the refrigerator may not start at all, either compartment may run too warm or too cold, or frost buildup may appear where it shouldn't. Unusual noise from the freezer is another common early sign of a struggling motor. It directly replaces EAU60694510, AP5950081, PS10058947, EAP10058947, and PD00006349.
Quick Answer

⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator Before Starting Disconnect power at the outlet before beginning, and move perishable food to a cooler for the duration of the repair. Wear work gloves. Access is typically through the freezer's rear interior panel: remove shelving and bins as needed, then remove the screws securing the back panel to expose the evaporator coil and fan assembly. If there's significant frost or ice around the fan or coil, let the unit sit unplugged with the door open for a few hours, or run a manual defrost, before continuing. Photograph the wiring harness connector and the fan blade's orientation before disconnecting anything. Unplug the wiring harness connector from the old motor, remove the mounting screws or clips holding the motor bracket in place, and pull the motor and fan blade assembly free. Transfer the fan blade to the new motor if a blade isn't included, matching the original orientation. Mount the new EAU61524007 in the same position, reconnect the wiring harness connector fully, and confirm the blade spins freely by hand without contacting the housing before reassembling the back panel. Restore power and monitor both compartments over the next 24 hours to confirm even, consistent cooling has returned. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My refrigerator won't start at all. Could this really be the fan motor?
Yes, this is one of the documented symptoms for this part on LG's own service guidance. Because this motor is tied into the refrigeration and defrost circuit, a failure here can present as the unit not starting at all, in addition to the more expected symptoms like temperature problems or noise. That said, other components can produce a similar no-start symptom, so it's worth confirming this diagnosis if you're not fully certain.
Both compartments are running warm, not just one. Does that still point to this motor?
Yes. Since this motor is responsible for distributing cooled air to both the fresh food and freezer compartments from the evaporator coil, a failure here can affect both areas simultaneously rather than just one, unlike some other fan motor designs that mainly affect the compartment further from the coil.
How do I make sure I'm ordering this exact motor and not a similar one?
Check the part number printed directly on your old motor if it's legible, or confirm your refrigerator's full model number against the compatibility list. LG has released similarly-numbered motors, such as EAU61524002, that serve different models and have different electrical specifications, so matching by number is more reliable than matching by general appearance.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by LG to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It matches the original motor design, blade fitment, and mounting configuration of the evaporator fan motor originally installed in your refrigerator.

⚠️ Unplug Dishwasher and Shut Off Water Before Starting — Wear Work Gloves — Major Access Required Disconnect power at the breaker and shut off the water supply before beginning. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. This is a more involved repair because the circulation pump is on the bottom of the dishwasher. Throw the circuit breaker, remove the lower access panel, and open the electrical box to completely disconnect the electrical from the dishwasher. Disconnect the water supply line and the drain line. Remove the anchor screws securing the dishwasher to the counter, then pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet. Have a large towel ready — rotate the dishwasher and lay it on its back to access the pump on the bottom. Photograph everything before disconnecting. Disconnect all connections to the main circulation pump: the drain pump, the electrical connections, the leak-detection plate and circuit, and the water lines. Undo all clamps to the circulation pump. Remove the old circulation pump assembly. Transfer your existing drain pump to the new W11414076 assembly — it is not included. (If you're only replacing a noisy motor and the pump case is good, the motor separates from the case with 3 Torx screws and can be swapped on its own.) Install the new assembly, reconnect the drain pump, electrical connections, leak-detection plate, water lines, and all clamps, matching your photos. Stand the dishwasher back up, slide it into the cabinet, reconnect water/drain/electrical, and secure the anchor screws. Run a short test cycle and check for leaks. Note: use your dishwasher's onboard diagnostic function to confirm the pump was the issue — light/error codes vary by model, so check the quick guide that came with your specific dishwasher rather than relying on codes listed online for other models. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, Torx driver (T-set), nut driver, pliers, large towel, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
The motor runs but water barely reaches the spray arms — do I definitely need a new pump?
Maybe not — try this first, because it could save you the entire repair. On many KitchenAid/Whirlpool-platform dishwashers, there's a fine filter screen INSIDE the circulation pump on the impeller. This screen can clog with microplastics and fine food particles over time (sometimes after a surprisingly small number of wash cycles), which chokes off water flow even though the motor is running perfectly. The screen can look clean but still be blocked — a real-world test is to hold water in the mesh cup: if it holds water like a cup instead of draining freely, it's clogged. Cleaning it with a toothbrush restores full flow. To access it you do have to pull the pump (the same disassembly as replacing it, then 2 Torx screws to open the pump), so if you're already this far in, disassemble and inspect the screen BEFORE installing a new pump — you may find the old pump is perfectly good. Running a dishwasher-safe cleaning product through the machine first is also worth a try.
My dishwasher motor is loud and getting louder — is that the pump?
Yes, that's a classic sign of worn circulation pump motor bearings. The motor bearings wear out over time, and as they degrade they produce a continuous drone that steadily gets louder. Once the bearings have failed, the noise won't go away on its own and the motor should be replaced. On this assembly, the motor separates from the pump case with 3 Torx screws — some customers who only have a bearing/noise problem (and an otherwise good pump case) simply swap the motor and reuse the case. If you order the full assembly, you get both, and you can decide during the repair whether to swap just the motor or the whole thing.
Does this come with the drain pump?
No — the W11414076 is the circulation pump and motor assembly, and it does not include the drain pump. During installation, you'll transfer your existing drain pump from the old assembly to the new one (it detaches and reattaches). This is normal for this repair. If your drain pump is also failing (separate symptoms: won't drain, water left standing after the cycle), that's a different part you'd order separately. The circulation pump handles washing/spray pressure; the drain pump handles emptying the tub.
What's the difference between W11414076 and W11122133?
These are the same circulation pump assembly across production revisions. W11122133 was the earlier OEM part number, and W11414076 is the current production version that Whirlpool issued as its direct replacement. Both are physically and functionally interchangeable — if your dishwasher's parts diagram shows W11122133, the W11414076 is the correct current replacement, and this listing covers both. The cross-references AP6980104, PS12745416, and 4958907 are additional catalog identifiers for the same part.
