XPARTCO DC97-16350U Washer Suspension Rod Kit (Set of 4)
The XPARTCO DC97-16350U is an aftermarket replacement washer suspension rod kit (set of 4) compatible with a wide range of Samsung top-load washers in the WA40, WA41, WA42, WA44, WA45, WA49, and WA50 series. The suspension rods are spring-loaded shock-absorbing rods that connect the outer washer tub to the top corners of the cabinet frame, suspending the tub and dampening the vibrations generated during agitation and high-speed spin cycles. When one or more rods lose tension, break, or degrade, the tub swings off-center and strikes the cabinet walls — causing violent shaking, loud banging, error code dc (out of balance), UE imbalance errors, and progressive damage to the machine.
Each rod measures 26.4–26.5 inches in overall length and 1-1/4 inches in diameter, constructed from spring steel with plastic end caps. The kit includes all 4 suspension rods — always replace all four at the same time since they wear at the same rate. It directly replaces DC97-16350S, DC97-16350T, DC97-16350E, DC97-16350C, DC97-16350D, DC97-16350K, DC97-05280W, 4962798, AP6884450, EAP12720841, PS12720841, and PD00065434. Wear gloves during installation — the rods are coated with grease. Installs in 20–30 minutes — no special tools required.

Important: The DC97-16350U rod is 26.4–26.5 inches long and is for Samsung WA40–WA50 series washers. Larger-capacity WA48–WA54 series models use the longer DC97-16350V rod (27.5 inches). Always measure your existing rods or verify your model number before ordering — using the wrong length rod can cause the tub to sit at the incorrect height inside the cabinet.
Key Features
Set of 4 suspension rods — complete replacement covering all four tub mounting points
Suspends and centers the outer tub within the cabinet — dampens agitation and spin vibration to prevent tub-to-cabinet contact
Resolves Samsung error codes dc (out of balance) and UE (unbalanced load)

⚠️ Unplug Washer and Shut Off Water Before Starting — Wear Gloves Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before beginning. Wear work gloves throughout — the suspension rods are coated with grease. Remove the lid and the top panel (typically secured by screws under the lid hinge covers and at the rear corners). With the top panel removed, the four suspension rods are visible at the corners, each running from a mounting point on the tub rim up to a hook or bracket at the top corners of the cabinet frame. Note the orientation and attachment method of each rod before removing. Unhook the top of each rod from the cabinet bracket and lift the bottom cup off the tub mounting pin. Install each new DC97-16350U rod by seating the bottom cup onto the tub mounting pin and hooking the top over the cabinet bracket. Replace all four rods before reassembling. Reinstall the top panel and lid, restore power and water, and run a spin cycle to verify smooth, quiet, centered operation. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver; no special tools required for the rods themselves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between DC97-16350U and DC97-16350V?
Both are Samsung top-load washer suspension rods, but they are different lengths for different washer capacity generations. The DC97-16350U is approximately 26.4–26.5 inches long and is used on mid-capacity Samsung WA40 through WA50 series washers. The DC97-16350V is approximately 27.5 inches long and is used on larger-capacity WA48 through WA54 series washers. Using the wrong length rod causes the tub to sit at the wrong height inside the cabinet, which can cause new imbalance issues. Always measure your existing rods or verify your model number before ordering.
Why must I replace all 4 rods instead of just the broken one?
All four suspension rods experience the same amount of wear over the same number of wash cycles. When one rod fails, the remaining three have experienced the same stress and fatigue and are likely to fail soon after. Replacing only the broken rod leaves three worn rods supporting the tub unevenly — this can cause continued vibration, accelerate wear on the new rod, and require a second repair shortly after. Replacing all four at the same time ensures even tub support, fully resolves the imbalance, and prevents a repeat repair.
Do DC97-16350S, DC97-16350T, and DC97-16350E all cross to the DC97-16350U?
Yes — DC97-16350S, DC97-16350T, DC97-16350E, DC97-16350C, and DC97-16350D are all cross-reference part numbers for the same Samsung suspension rod assembly used across different production runs of the same washer series. Samsung updates part number suffixes during production revisions. All of these numbers have the same 26.4–26.5" length and are interchangeable with the DC97-16350U.
What do error codes dc and UE mean on Samsung washers?
Error code dc on Samsung top-load washers indicates the machine has detected an out-of-balance condition and stopped spinning to prevent damage. Error code UE indicates an unbalanced load that the washer cannot self-correct by redistributing. Both codes can be caused by an overloaded or unevenly distributed laundry load — but if the errors occur consistently even with normal, balanced loads, worn or broken suspension rods are the most common mechanical cause. Replacing the rod kit resolves these errors in most cases.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement kit built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine Samsung OEM part, but is manufactured from spring steel with plastic end caps to match the length and spring tension of the original DC97-16350U suspension rods.

⚠️ Unplug Washer and Shut Off Water Before Starting Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before beginning. Tilt the washer back or lay it on its side to access the drain pump at the bottom of the machine. Place towels and a shallow pan to catch residual water when the pump is disconnected. Note the wiring connector orientation before disconnecting — take a photo if needed. If the new pump's connector does not match the washer's harness, carefully transfer the wiring harness from the old pump to the new pump. Disconnect the drain hoses from the pump using pliers to loosen the clamps. Unscrew the pump mounting screws and remove the old pump. Install the new DC97-19289F pump in the same position, reconnect drain hoses and secure with clamps, and reconnect the wiring harness. Restore water supply and power, then run a drain cycle to verify proper drainage and check for leaks. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, pliers, shallow pan, towels.
Frequently Asked Questions
What error codes indicate a drain pump failure on Samsung washers?
Error codes 5C, SE, nd, 5E, FO2, and E5 on Samsung top-load washers all indicate a drain fault — the washer was unable to drain within the expected time. These codes can also be caused by a clogged drain filter, blocked hose, or kinked drain line, so check those first. If the filter and hose are clear and the error persists after clearing them, the drain pump is the most likely cause.
What is the difference between DC97-19289F, DC97-19289A, and DC97-19289B?
These are successive revisions of the same Samsung drain pump assembly. DC97-19289A was the original version, DC97-19289B was an update, and DC97-19289F is the current version. Samsung issues revised part numbers when minor production changes are made — all three perform the same function and the DC97-19289F is the correct current replacement for any of the earlier versions. The DC97-17349B, DC97-17366A, and DC97-17366J are additional older cross-references for this pump used on earlier Samsung top-load models.
Why might the wire plug on the new pump differ from the original?
Samsung revised the wiring connector on this drain pump across different production runs. If the DC97-19289F pump you receive has a different connector than your washer's harness, do not force the connection. Instead, carefully remove the wiring harness from the old pump and transfer it to the new pump — both versions use the same internal terminals and the harness swap is straightforward. This is a known and documented step for this part and does not affect performance or safety.
Should I check the drain filter before replacing the pump?
Yes — always check and clean the drain filter and inspect the drain hose for kinks or blockages before replacing the pump. A clogged filter or blocked hose can cause the same error codes as a failed pump and clearing the blockage may resolve the problem without needing a new part. On Samsung top-load washers the drain filter is typically located at the bottom front of the machine. If the filter and hose are clear and the error persists, the pump needs replacement.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a Genuine OEM part manufactured by Samsung to factory specifications. It is the exact same drain pump assembly installed in compatible Samsung and Kenmore top-load washers from the factory — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance.

WPW10409079 Washer Genuine OEM Drain Pump
Replaces Part Number: WPW10409079, W10409079, 2118648, AP6021043, PS11754363, LP09079.
Description: This Drain Pump is a replacement part for specific Whirlpool top-loading washing machine models. Located near the bottom center of the machine, it actively pumps water out of the washer tub at the end of each cycle. The pump motor spins an impeller chamber to push water through the drain hose and out of the home. Causes of failure include clogging from mineral buildup or fabric fibers within the pumping components. Over time, motor windings experience excess heat and may burn out from consistent drainage cycles. WPW10409079 is the part number for a Whirlpool washer drain pump that removes water from the washer during the drain cycle. It is compatible with many Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Inglis, and Magic Chef models.
W11399437 Genuine OEM Washer Drain Pump
Replaces Part Numbers: AP6974144, PS12731241
Description: This Drain Pump is a Genuine OEM part for select Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool washer models. It is responsible for circulating water through the washing machine during all cycles. The pump draws water from the tub and dispenses it through the water supply hoses to soak, scrub, and rinse clothes.
AHA72973309 Genuine OEM LG Washer Drain & Circulation Pump Assembly
The AHA72973309 is a genuine LG OEM drain and circulation pump assembly for LG and select Kenmore front-load washers. This is a dual-purpose pump — an Askoll M120-2 unit — that handles two separate jobs from one motor and housing. During the drain portion of the cycle, it pumps wastewater out of the tub and out through the drain hose. During the wash and rinse portions, it switches roles and recirculates water from the bottom of the tub back up through the dispenser and spray nozzle, showering it back over the load. That recirculation spray is what lets LG's front-load washers clean effectively with less water than an older top-load design would need.
Because this single assembly performs both functions, a failure here can show up in more than one way: standing water left in the tub after a cycle, a washer that won't complete its drain step, unusual grinding or humming noise, or reduced wash performance if the recirculation spray isn't working even though draining still seems fine. Common causes include debris such as coins, buttons, or lint lodged in the impeller, general wear and tear on the motor bearings, or an electrical failure in the pump motor itself. It directly replaces AP5676608, 2659237, AHA72973304, and PS7788830. As a genuine OEM part, the AHA72973309 is manufactured by LG to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance.
Quick Answer
The AHA72973309 Genuine OEM LG Washer Drain & Circulation Pump Assembly fixes LG and select Kenmore front-load washers with standing water left in the tub after a cycle, a washer that won't drain, unusual grinding or humming noise, or reduced wash performance from a weak recirculation spray. Askoll M120-2 dual-purpose pump — handles both draining and mid-cycle water recirculation. Replaces AP5676608, 2659237, AHA72973304, PS7788830. Installation is average difficulty, 30 to 60 minutes — and on many models it's accessible through the front panel without needing to tip the washer over.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Standing water left in the tub after a cycle finishes
Washer won't drain, or drains very slowly
Drainage-related error code displayed on the control panel
Unusual grinding, humming, or rattling noise during the drain or wash portion of the cycle
Reduced wash performance — clothes not getting as clean, possibly from a weak recirculation spray
Washer stalling mid-cycle at the drain step
Water leaking from underneath the washer near the pump housing
Pump that hums but doesn't seem to move water — possible clog or seized impeller

⚠️ Unplug Washer And Shut Off Water Before Starting — Drain Residual Water First Disconnect power at the outlet or shut off the circuit breaker, and close the water supply valves before beginning. Wear work gloves. Place towels down and have a shallow pan ready, since the pump housing will hold residual water even after a completed cycle — draining this into a pan before disconnecting hoses will save you a mess. On many models, this pump is fully accessible by removing the front lower access panel or kick plate, without needing to tip the washer onto its back — check this first, since it can save significant time and effort compared to some online guides that recommend tipping the unit. Photograph the hose routing and wiring connections before disconnecting anything. Disconnect the two hose clamps connecting the pump to the tub and drain hose, and unplug the electrical connector from the pump motor. Remove the mounting screws or clips securing the pump assembly and lift it free, checking the impeller area for coins, buttons, or debris while it's out — clearing a clog here may have been the actual cause of the original symptom. Install the new AHA72973309 in the same orientation, reconnect both hoses with their clamps, and reconnect the electrical connector fully. Reinstall the front access panel, restore water and power, and run a short cycle to confirm normal draining, recirculation spray, and no leaks around the pump housing. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, hose clamp pliers, shallow pan or towels, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need to tip the washer over to replace this pump?
Not necessarily — check your model first. While a lot of general online guidance recommends tipping the washer onto its back to access the pump from underneath, many LG and Kenmore Elite front-load models make this pump fully accessible through the front lower access panel or kick plate instead, without any tipping required. It's worth removing that panel first and seeing what you find before committing to the more involved tip-over approach.
Why does this one pump handle both draining and something during the wash cycle?
LG's front-load washers use this same Askoll pump for two different jobs at different points in the cycle: pumping wastewater out during the drain step, and recirculating water from the bottom of the tub back up through the dispenser and spray nozzle during wash and rinse to shower it over the load. That recirculation spray is part of how these washers clean effectively while using less water than an older top-load design. Because one pump does both jobs, a failure can affect draining, wash performance, or both, depending on what's actually gone wrong inside it.
There's water left in the tub after every cycle. Is this definitely the pump?
It's one of the most common causes, but check the easy things first. A clogged drain filter or a kinked drain hose can produce the same "won't drain" symptom and cost nothing to fix. If the filter and hose are clear and water is still standing in the tub, or if the pump hums but doesn't seem to move any water, the pump assembly itself has likely failed.
My washer drains fine but clothes aren't coming out as clean. Could this pump be the cause?
Possibly. Since this same assembly also handles the recirculation spray during wash, a partial failure can leave draining intact while weakening or eliminating that spray function, which reduces how effectively detergent and water reach the load. If drainage is normal but wash performance has noticeably declined, it's worth having this pump checked as one possible cause alongside things like detergent dosing and water hardness.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by LG to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It includes the same Askoll M120-2 dual-function pump design, wiring, and mounting configuration as the drain and circulation pump assembly originally installed in your front-load washer.

XPARTCO WH03X30517 Washer Shift Actuator
The XPARTCO WH03X30517 is an aftermarket replacement shift actuator (mode shifter) for GE top-load washers, and also fits select Hotpoint and Kenmore models. Mounted at the bottom of the washer, this actuator changes the function of the washer's motor between agitation and spin cycles, effectively managing the conversion from agitation to high-speed rotation that removes moisture from clothing at the end of the wash.
Made mostly of plastic, with two mounting holes and a single wire harness connection. Over time, the actuator's internal motor can burn out or fail electrically. Symptoms of a failing shift actuator include the washer failing to switch between agitation and spin modes, the washer not spinning or agitating at all, abnormal noise or grinding during the cycle, or clothes coming out still soggy after a completed wash. It directly replaces WH03X30517, WH05X24435, WH05X25036, 290D1056G001, 4588015, 4961069, AP7014559, AGE25894, PD00068062, EAP16554752, PS16554752.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO WH03X30517 Washer Shift Actuator fixes GE, Hotpoint, and Kenmore top-load washers that won't switch between agitation and spin, won't spin or agitate at all, or leave clothes still soggy after a wash. Sold individually. Replaces WH03X30517, WH05X24435, WH05X25036, 290D1056G001, 4588015, 4961069, AP7014559, AGE25894, PD00068062, EAP16554752, PS16554752. If your washer agitates and spins fine individually but still won't switch between the two modes after replacing this actuator, the underlying cause may lie elsewhere — one customer found this exact residual symptom after installing this part.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Washer Before Starting — Laying The Washer On Its Side Makes Access Easier Disconnect power at the outlet before beginning. Wear work gloves. This repair typically requires tipping or laying the washer on its side to access the bottom of the machine, where the shift actuator is mounted. Lay the washer down carefully, protecting the floor and the washer's exterior. Locate the shifter connector and unplug it, then remove the two screws holding the actuator in place. Take out the old actuator. Install the new WH03X30517 in the same position, securing it with the two mounting screws, and reconnect the wire harness connector fully. Stand the washer back upright. Restore power and run a test cycle to confirm the washer switches correctly between agitation and spin, listening for a clicking sound as it changes modes. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My washer won't switch from wash to spin, but it will spin if I catch it there. Is this the part I need?
Yes, this is a well-documented symptom of a failing shift actuator. One customer described their machine not going to wash mode with no clicking sound heard when the mode should change, which is a classic sign this part has failed. They accessed the actuator by laying the machine on its side, then unplugged the shifter connector and removed two screws to complete the swap.
I replaced this part but my washer still won't switch from wash to spin. What's going on?
This is a fair question, and it's worth knowing that replacing this actuator doesn't always resolve every mode-switching problem on its own. One customer replaced the mode shifter, cleared all codes, and confirmed the washer agitated and spun fine individually, but it still wouldn't switch between the two modes — suggesting a different or additional component may have been involved in their specific case. If you're still having trouble after installing this part, further diagnosis of the transmission or related components may be needed.
Does this come with the clutch too?
No, this listing is for the shift actuator only, sold individually. A related shift clutch, WH05X24185, is a separate part — if your repair requires replacing both, you'll need to order the clutch separately.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine GE OEM part, but is manufactured to match the mounting, wiring, and switching function of the original WH03X30517 shift actuator used in compatible GE, Hotpoint, and Kenmore top-load washers.

Genuine OEM WH23X10040 Washer Drain Pump
The WH23X10040 is a genuine OEM drain pump from GE for GE and Kenmore laundry centers, the stacked washer and dryer units. The drain pump removes water from the washer tub during the drain and spin portions of the cycle. When it clogs, wears out, or fails, the washer may leave water in the tub, stop mid-cycle, drain slowly, or make unusual noise while draining.
This is a genuine OEM part, not an aftermarket equivalent, so the fit and operation match the original pump. Retailers rate it as a moderate DIY repair, and reviewers report roughly 15 to 30 minutes, using pliers, screwdrivers, and a socket set.
Quick Answer
The Genuine OEM WH23X10040 Drain Pump fixes a GE or Kenmore laundry center whose washer won't drain, leaves standing water in the tub, or stops mid-cycle because the pump has failed. Genuine OEM from GE Appliances. Classic symptom: the cycle stalls with water still in the tub, or you hear the pump hum or grind but the water doesn't leave.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Washer won't drain
Standing water left in the tub after the cycle
Washer stops mid-cycle with water in the tub
Unusual noise while the washer drains

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Power and Expect Water Unplug the laundry center and turn off the water supply before starting, and shut off the gas supply first on gas models. Wear work gloves. Put towels and a shallow pan under the work area, since some water will remain in the pump and hoses. Following your model's service guide, remove the panel needed to reach the pump, note how the wiring connector and hoses are attached, and disconnect them. Remove the old pump, fit the new one in the same position, and reattach the hoses and wiring. Replace the panel, restore power and water, and run a drain cycle while checking for leaks. Inspect the hoses and clamps while you are there and replace any that are worn.
Frequently Asked Questions
My washer won't drain. Is this the part I need?
A failed or clogged drain pump is a common cause. Before replacing it, check the drain hose and the pump for a clog from a sock, coin, or lint. If the path is clear but the pump hums, grinds, or doesn't run, replacing it should fix the problem.
Is this pump for any GE washer?
No. Retailers list it for GE and Kenmore laundry centers, and GE uses other drain pump numbers for its other washers. Check your model number against your parts diagram, or contact our support team, before ordering.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part from GE Appliances, not an aftermarket equivalent.
Will this fit my laundry center?
It is listed for many GE and Kenmore laundry centers, but the model list above is only a sample. Match the number on your old pump or parts diagram, or contact our support team with your model number and we'll confirm fit before you order.

XPARTCO 6501KW2001B Washer Rotor Positioning Sensor
The XPARTCO 6501KW2001B is an aftermarket replacement rotor position sensor (RPS) compatible with a wide range of LG and Kenmore direct-drive front-load washers. This 5-pin Hall effect sensor mounts to the motor stator and monitors the speed and rotational direction of the motor rotor, feeding that data back to the control board so it can properly manage spin speed, direction changes during wash/rinse agitation, and load balancing.
When this sensor fails or reads inaccurately, the control board loses the feedback it needs to run the motor correctly, and the washer commonly throws an "LE" (motor/rotor position) error code, fails to spin or agitate, or runs unusually long cycles as it struggles to detect motor movement. Built with PBT-GF30 housing and black epoxy potting for durability in the motor compartment. It directly replaces 6501KW2001A, 6501KW2001D, AP5973402, PS11706506, EAP11706506, and 3282954. Installs in 30–60 minutes with basic hand tools.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 6501KW2001B Washer Rotor Positioning Sensor fixes LG and Kenmore (LG-built) direct-drive front-load washers throwing an "LE" error code, failing to spin or agitate, or running abnormally long cycles. 5-pin Hall effect sensor, PBT-GF30 housing, black epoxy potting. Replaces 6501KW2001A, 6501KW2001D, AP5973402, PS11706506, EAP11706506, 3282954. Classic symptom: washer displays "LE" and stops mid-cycle, or won't spin at all.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Washer displays an "LE" (motor/rotor position) error code
Tub fails to spin or agitate during the wash cycle
Washer struggles to detect load movement, resulting in abnormally long cycle times
Motor runs erratically or stalls mid-cycle
Washer stops partway through a cycle without completing
Inconsistent or failed direction changes during agitation

Kenmore front-load washers (select LG-built models, including WD-3243RHD, WD-3245RHD, WD-3274RHD)
Important: Do not confuse this with 6501KW2002B, which is a different, non-interchangeable rotor position sensor used on other LG washer platforms. Some newer LG models also integrate the Hall sensor directly into the motor stator assembly (such as AJB73816004) rather than using a standalone sensor like this one. Always verify your appliance model number before ordering, and check your parts diagram to confirm whether your model uses a standalone sensor. Contact our support team with your model number if you're unsure.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Washer Before Starting Disconnect power before beginning. Access the motor compartment, typically by removing the rear panel of the washer. Locate the rotor position sensor mounted to the motor stator near the rotor. Photograph the wiring before disconnecting, then unplug the sensor's connector from the wiring harness. Remove the mounting screw(s) or clip holding the sensor to the stator and remove the old sensor. Install the new 6501KW2001B sensor in the same position, taking care to seat it at the correct distance/orientation from the rotor magnets, and secure it. Reconnect the wiring harness connector, matching your photos. Reinstall the rear panel, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm the washer spins and agitates normally without triggering an LE error code. Tools needed: nut driver or screwdriver, needle-nose pliers (for wiring connectors).
Frequently Asked Questions
My washer shows an "LE" error code — is this the part I need?
This is one of the most common causes of an LE (motor/rotor position) error on LG and LG-built Kenmore washers. If your washer displays LE and stops mid-cycle or won't spin, this sensor is a likely culprit. That said, LE errors can also stem from the control board or a damaged wiring harness between the sensor and the board, so if replacing the sensor doesn't resolve the error, those components are the next things to inspect.
Is this the same as the 6501KW2002B sensor?
No — 6501KW2001B and 6501KW2002B are different, non-interchangeable rotor position sensors used on different LG washer platforms. Confirm your exact part number from your appliance's parts diagram before ordering, since these two are easy to mix up by their similar naming.
My LG washer's parts diagram doesn't show a separate rotor position sensor — why?
Some newer LG models integrate the Hall sensor directly into the motor stator assembly (such as part AJB73816004) rather than using a standalone sensor like this one. If your model doesn't list a standalone sensor, check whether your repair requires the full stator assembly instead. Contact our support team with your model number if you're unsure which one applies to your washer.
Do I need any special tools to install this?
No special tools — a nut driver or screwdriver to access the rear panel and remove the sensor's mounting screw(s), plus needle-nose pliers to help with the wiring connector. The main thing to get right is reinstalling the new sensor at the same position and orientation relative to the rotor as the original.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Washer Before Starting Disconnect power at the outlet or shut off the circuit breaker before beginning. Wear work gloves. Remove the two screws securing the top panel of the washer, then carefully lift off the panel and set it aside. Disconnect the hoses connected to the drain pump by squeezing the clamps and pulling them off, then disconnect the wires from the terminals. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, unscrew the four screws around the old pump and carefully lift it out. Take the new WP3363394 and place it into the same position as the old one, securing it with the screws. Attach the hoses back onto their ports and plug the wires back into the terminals. Reinstall the top panel and secure its screws. Restore power and run a test cycle to confirm the washer drains completely with no leaks. Tools needed: multi-screwdriver, standard pliers, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My washer isn't draining. Is this the right pump?
Yes, this is the most direct symptom of a failed drain pump. If the pump has locked up internally or become clogged by a small object, water won't be removed from the tub during the drain phase, leaving standing water behind after the cycle finishes.
How do I know if my washer is direct-drive or belt-drive?
This pump is specifically designed for direct-drive washers, which don't use a belt to connect the motor to the transmission. If you're not sure which type your washer uses, check your model number against the compatibility list, or contact our support team for confirmation before ordering, since belt-drive washers require a different pump design.
Should I replace the mounting clips at the same time?
It's worth considering, especially if your original clips show wear or damage. The companion clip, WP8546127, is commonly recommended alongside this pump since it secures the pump to the motor, and replacing a worn clip at the same time can help ensure a secure fit for the new pump.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by Whirlpool to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It matches the original pump design, port configuration, and motor mounting of the drain pump originally installed in your washer.
