XPARTCO EXP571 Dryer Door Catch
The XPARTCO EXP571 is an aftermarket replacement door catch for electric and gas dryers from Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE, Amana, Crosley, White-Westinghouse, and LG. The door catch is the small plastic part the dryer door latches onto to stay securely shut during a cycle. Keeping the door tightly closed holds heat and airflow inside the drum, so clothes dry efficiently. Over time, regular wear, physical damage, or a door that has drifted out of alignment can cause the catch to crack, wear down, or lose its grip, and the door stops latching reliably.
Made from durable plastic, this is a direct-fit replacement with a simple snap-in installation — no tools required. Because the same catch design was used across several appliance families, it carries a long cross-reference list spanning Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and GE part numbers; see the Replaces list below. Each order includes 1 door catch.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO EXP571 Dryer Door Catch fixes a dryer door that won't stay closed, won't latch properly, or pops open during a cycle because the catch is cracked, worn, or damaged. Durable plastic, snap-in install with no tools, 1 catch per order. Fits Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE, Amana, Crosley, White-Westinghouse, and LG dryers. Classic symptom: you have to push or hold the door shut, or it swings open mid-cycle and heat escapes.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Dryer door won't stay closed or pops open during a cycle
Door doesn't latch with a firm, positive click
Visibly cracked, broken, or worn catch
Heat escaping around the door, leaving clothes damp after a full cycle
Door feels loose or misaligned when closed
Cross Reference Information
Part numbers can change over a product's lifecycle as manufacturers update designs or release new appliance models. For your convenience, we've included any known superseded, alternate, or cross-reference part numbers that match this item.

This one catch design was sold under the part numbers of several manufacturers: Whirlpool/Maytag (WP71002106, WP3389441), Frigidaire/Electrolux (131658800, 5307521419), and GE (WE1X1195, WE1X1153, WE01X10023, and related). The AP/PS-prefixed numbers are third-party catalog cross-references for the same physical part.
Compatibility
This door catch is used on dryer models from the following brands:
Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, and Kenmore (Whirlpool-built) dryers
Frigidaire, Electrolux, Crosley, White-Westinghouse, and Kenmore (Frigidaire-built) dryers
GE dryers
Select LG dryers
Note: Because this catch was used across so many brands and model years, a full model-number list can't be shown here. The safest way to confirm fit is to match the number on your old catch, or on your dryer's parts diagram, against the Replaces list above rather than relying on brand alone. Contact our support team with your model number and we'll verify before you order.

Installation Notes
ℹ️ No Tools Required Unplug the dryer before starting as a general safety precaution. Open the dryer door and locate the worn or broken catch the door latches onto. Pull or pry the old catch free from its mounting position, then press the new catch into the same opening until it snaps firmly into place. Close the door and confirm it latches with a positive click and stays shut. If the door still won't seat or latch evenly after the swap, check the door's alignment and hinges, since a misaligned door can wear out a new catch quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dryer door won't stay shut — is this the part I need?
Very likely. A cracked, worn, or damaged door catch is a common reason a dryer door won't latch or pops open mid-cycle. Inspect the old catch for cracks or wear; if it looks damaged, replacing it should restore a firm latch.
Will this fit my dryer? I have a Whirlpool, Frigidaire, or GE.
This catch is cross-referenced to part numbers from all three families, plus several others. Match the number on your old catch or your dryer's parts diagram against the Replaces list above. If you're unsure, contact our support team with your model number and we'll confirm fit before you order.
Do I need tools to install it?
No. It's a simple snap-in design — remove the old catch and press the new one into place until it clicks.
How many catches come in this order?
Each order includes 1 door catch.
The door still doesn't close right after replacing the catch. What else could be wrong?
A door that has drifted out of alignment can keep a new catch from seating properly and wear it out fast. Check the door hinges and alignment against the cabinet opening.

Genuine OEM WPW10446920 Dryer Push-To-Start Switch
The Genuine OEM WPW10446920 is a factory-original push-to-start switch manufactured by Whirlpool for use in Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore, Inglis, and other Whirlpool-built dryers that use a momentary push-button start control rather than a pull/rotary start knob. Pressing and releasing the button sends a signal to the timer or control board that begins the drying cycle; the switch itself does not stay latched, so the control electronics — not the switch — keep the dryer running after you let go.
When this switch fails, the dryer typically has power (the display and drum lights, if equipped, still work) but pressing Start does nothing, or the button feels mushy and requires several presses to register. As the genuine Whirlpool part, it ships with the exact factory-specified contacts, housing, and three-terminal wiring connector used on original production, so there's no fit or function guesswork. It directly replaces W10446920, 4446934, AP6021533, AWP51175, EAP11754857, OEM18064608, PD00038667, PS11754857. Installs in 15–30 minutes with basic hand tools.
Quick Answer
The Genuine OEM WPW10446920 Dryer Push-To-Start Switch fixes Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore, and Inglis dryers that won't start when the Start button is pressed, even though the dryer otherwise has power. This is the factory-original Whirlpool switch — not an aftermarket equivalent — with a 3-terminal wiring connector. Replaces W10446920, 4446934, AP6021533, AWP51175, EAP11754857, OEM18064608, PD00038667, PS11754857. Classic symptom: display and lights work, but pressing Start produces no response at all.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Dryer won't start when the Start button is pressed
Start button feels loose, mushy, or requires multiple presses to register
Dryer has power (lights/display work) but the motor never engages
Intermittent starting — sometimes works, sometimes doesn't
Audible click from the button with no response from the dryer
Start switch visibly cracked, stuck, or not returning after being pressed

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Dryer Before Starting Disconnect power before beginning. Access the control panel — on most models this means removing a few screws along the top or rear of the console, or releasing spring clips, and tilting or lifting the panel to expose the back of the start switch. Photograph the wiring before disconnecting. Unplug the 3-terminal wiring connector from the old switch — note the connector orientation. Depress the retaining tabs or remove the mounting screw(s) holding the switch in the control panel and push it out from the back. Install the new WPW10446920 switch into the same opening until it snaps or seats into place. Reconnect the wiring connector, matching your photos. Reassemble the control panel and secure it with its screws or clips. Plug the dryer back in and test by pressing Start — confirm the dryer begins its cycle. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, putty knife or flat-blade screwdriver (for spring clips, if applicable).
Frequently Asked Questions
My dryer has power but won't start when I press the button — is this the part?
This is the classic symptom of a failed push-to-start switch. If the display and any lights still work but pressing Start produces no response — not even a click or hum from the motor — the start switch is the most common cause. If you do hear a hum or click but the drum still doesn't turn, also check the thermal fuse and cycling thermostat, since a tripped thermal fuse can sometimes present with similar no-start symptoms.
Will this fit my dryer?
WPW10446920 and its cross-reference numbers fit a range of Whirlpool-built dryers across several brands, but only models with a push-to-start button — not a rotary or pull-to-start knob. Confirm fit using your dryer's exact model number before ordering, since the two start mechanisms are not interchangeable.
Is this a genuine Whirlpool part or an aftermarket equivalent?
This is the genuine, factory-original Whirlpool part — not an aftermarket equivalent. It ships with the same contacts, housing, and 3-terminal connector used in original production, so there's no guesswork on fit, feel, or electrical rating.
Do I need any special tools to install this?
No — just a Phillips screwdriver and, on some models, a putty knife or flat-blade screwdriver to release the control panel's spring clips. No soldering or wire splicing is required; the switch connects via its original 3-terminal plug.

XPARTCO 3406107 Dryer Door Switch Replaces WP3406107
The XPARTCO 3406107 is an aftermarket replacement door switch for Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, and KitchenAid dryers. Mounted inside the upper corner of the front panel, this safety switch has a spring-loaded black tab that gets pressed in when the door closes. That contact tells the control board the door is shut, which is required before the dryer will start, and it also powers the interior drum light. Over time the switch's internal contacts wear out or the tab loses spring tension, and the dryer either won't start at all or runs with the door open — a safety condition the switch is specifically designed to prevent.
This is a three-wire SPDT (single pole, double throw) switch built to the same dimensions and mounting points as the original, and it's designed to remain compatible with older two-wire harnesses as well. Direct-fit aftermarket replacement, no wiring modifications needed.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 3406107 Dryer Door Switch fixes a dryer that won't start, runs with the door open, or has a dead interior light. Direct-fit replacement for OEM WP3406107. Classic symptom: pressing start does nothing until you push and hold the door shut, or the drum light never comes on.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Dryer won't start even though the door is closed
Dryer runs with the door open (safety switch failure)
Interior drum light doesn't turn on
Door doesn't seem to latch or seal properly against the switch tab
Drum doesn't spin, or cycle stops intermittently
Touchpad or start button appears unresponsive
Cross Reference Information
Part numbers can change over a product's lifecycle as manufacturers update designs or release new appliance models. For your convenience, we've included any known superseded, alternate, or cross-reference part numbers that match this item.
Replaces Part Numbers
This door switch directly replaces the following part numbers:
WP3406107, WPW10569603, 3406107, 3406109, W10569603, 3405100, 3405101, 3406100, 3406101, ES6107, 528948, 11259-65, PD00002378, EAP11741701, AP6008561, AWP47183, PS11741701
This switch design was updated to a three-wire configuration at some point in its production history (superseding older 3405100/3405101/3406100/3406101 numbers), but the current three-wire version remains compatible with older two-wire harnesses, so it's a safe direct replacement across all of these part numbers.
Compatibility
This door switch is compatible with a wide range of Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, and KitchenAid dryers, including units across the:
Whirlpool/Kenmore Series 60, 70, 80, 90, 500, 600, 700, and 800 dryer lines
AED4475TQ1, MEDC400VW0, and numerous additional model numbers
Note: This switch has been used across a very wide range of Whirlpool-built dryers (including Kenmore, Maytag, and KitchenAid badged units) spanning many production years, so the list above is only a sample. Confirm your model number against your dryer's parts diagram, or contact our support team to verify fit before ordering.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Power Before Installing Unplug the dryer or switch off its circuit breaker before beginning. The switch is mounted inside the upper corner of the front panel, so you'll need to remove the front panel or top panel per your model's service guide to access it. Disconnect the wire connector from the old switch, then remove the mounting screw(s) holding it in place. Install the new switch in the same position, reconnect the wire connector, and reinstall the panel. Before closing everything up, you can test the switch by pressing the black tab — you should feel spring resistance and hear or feel a distinct click. Restore power and confirm the dryer starts normally with the door closed and stops when the door is opened.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dryer won't start — is this the part I need?
This is one of the most common causes of a dryer that won't start even with the door closed. Try pressing the black tab on the switch by hand — if it feels loose, doesn't click, or offers no resistance, the switch has likely failed and needs replacement.
My dryer runs even with the door open — is that dangerous?
Yes, this indicates the door safety switch has failed in a way that no longer prevents operation with the door open, which is a safety hazard. Replace the switch promptly and avoid running the dryer with the door open in the meantime.
My dryer has a two-wire connector — will this three-wire switch still work?
Yes. This switch was redesigned to a three-wire configuration but remains compatible with older two-wire wiring harnesses, so it's a safe direct replacement regardless of which wire configuration your dryer currently has.
Does this switch also control the interior light?
Yes. This switch serves a dual function — it's the safety interlock that permits the dryer to run only with the door closed, and it also powers the interior drum light when the door is open.

2 Pack - XPARTCO 303373K Dryer Drum Roller Replaces 12001541, WP6-3129480
The XPARTCO 303373K is an aftermarket replacement drum roller support wheel kit for Maytag dryers, and also fits select Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Crosley, Kenmore, Amana, and Admiral models. This roller supports the rear of the dryer drum and allows it to spin smoothly against the rear bulkhead throughout the drying cycle, working together with the front drum supports to keep everything rotating evenly.
This kit includes 2 roller, 2 shaft (axle), 2 fiber washer, 2 nut, and 2 C-clip/retainer clip. The roller measures approximately 3" in diameter and 1-1/8" wide, fits a 1/2" shaft, and does not require lubrication. Finished in white or black, made of rubber, plastic, and metal. Over time, the roller's bearing wears out or the wheel develops flat spots from age and use. Symptoms of worn rollers include the dryer being noisy, failing to tumble, leaving marks on clothes, or failing to start. It directly replaces 12001541, WP6-3129480, 12001541VP, 3-3373, 303373, 400518, AH1570070, DE693, DE693K, EA1570070, K35-248, PS1570070, EAP1570070, W10116741, Y303373, AP4008534, and 312948.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 303373K Dryer Drum Roller fixes Maytag, Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Crosley, Kenmore, Amana, and Admiral dryers that are noisy, won't tumble, leave marks on clothes, or won't start. Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Dryer Before Starting — Install The Snap Ring Before Assembling The Roller Onto The Shaft Disconnect power at the outlet before beginning. Wear work gloves. Remove the back panel of the dryer, then remove the drum to access the rear drum roller(s). Remove the old roller by taking off the retainer clip, sliding the roller off its shaft, and removing the shaft itself if it's also being replaced. One customer found it much easier to install the C-clip/snap ring onto the new shaft before assembling the rest of the roller, rather than after. Once assembled this way, you're only dealing with tightening a nut at the back, which can be finger-tightened and then given about a half turn with a 1/2" wrench — useful since one side of the mounting area can be tight to access. Install the new roller, shaft, fiber washer, and nut in the same position, following this assembly order. If your dryer uses two rear rollers and you've ordered a second kit to replace both, repeat this process for the other side. Reinstall the drum, making sure it seats correctly on the new roller(s). While the dryer is fully open, this is also a good opportunity to clean out any accumulated lint from inside the cabinet, since lint buildup here is a genuine fire hazard that isn't addressed by simply cleaning the lint trap. Reassemble the back panel. Restore power and run a test cycle to confirm quiet, smooth tumbling with no marks transferring to clothes. Tools needed: nut driver, 1/2" wrench, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dryer squeaks. Is this the part I need?
Yes, squeaking is one of the most common symptoms of worn drum rollers. As the roller's bearing wears down, it can no longer support the drum's rotation smoothly, producing a squeaking or squealing noise that typically gets more noticeable over time.
Should I replace both rollers, or just the one that's obviously worn?
It's recommended to replace both rear drum support rollers at the same time for even wear, even if only one appears visibly worse than the other. This kit includes a single roller and shaft, so if your dryer uses two rear rollers, you'll want to order two of this kit to replace both together.
Do I need to lubricate these rollers?
No, these rollers use a self-lubricating bearing and do not require any additional lubrication during installation or afterward.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine Maytag OEM part, but is manufactured to match the diameter, width, and shaft fit of the original 12001541 drum roller kit used in compatible Maytag, Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Crosley, Kenmore, Amana, and Admiral dryers.

XPARTCO 4581EL2002H Dryer Drum Roller w/ Bearing Replaces 4581EL2002L, 4581EL2002C
The XPARTCO 4581EL2002H is an aftermarket replacement drum support roller for LG-built dryers sold under the LG, Kenmore, and GE brands. This roller sits under the drum and lets it rotate smoothly against the dryer's frame. As the roller's internal bearing wears out, it commonly starts producing a loud rumbling, squeaking, or thumping noise, and in more advanced cases the drum can start riding unevenly or vibrating during the cycle.
This version includes a self-lubricating bearing built into the roller wheel, along with the mounting shaft, nut, and washer needed for installation. It's sold as a single roller assembly — check your dryer's parts diagram to confirm whether you need one roller or a full set, since most drums use two or four rollers and it's common practice to replace them as a set even if only one has failed. It directly replaces 4581EL2002L, 4581EL2002A, 4581EL2002B, 4581EL2002C, 4581EL2002D, 4581EL2002E, 4581EL3001A, 4581EL3001C, 4581EL3001D, 4581EL3001F, AP6985402, AP7220429, AGM75510755, EAP12749664, PD00064735, and PS12749664. Installs in 30–60 minutes with basic hand tools.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 4581EL2002H Dryer Drum Roller w/ Bearing fixes LG, Kenmore, and GE (LG-built) dryers with a loud rumbling, squeaking, or thumping noise, or a drum that vibrates or rides unevenly during the cycle. 3-1/8" diameter x 2-3/8" width, self-lubricating bearing, sold as a single roller with shaft, nut, and washer. Replaces 4581EL2002L, 4581EL2002A/B/C/D/E, 4581EL3001A/C/D/F, AP6985402, AP7220429, AGM75510755, EAP12749664, PD00064735, PS12749664. Classic symptom: rhythmic thumping or squeaking noise that speeds up and slows down with drum rotation.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Loud rumbling, squeaking, or squealing noise from the dryer during operation
Rhythmic thumping noise that tracks with drum rotation speed
Drum riding unevenly or wobbling during the cycle
Excessive vibration felt through the cabinet
Visible wear, cracking, or flat spots on the roller wheel
Drum dragging or binding as it rotates
Cross Reference Information
Part numbers can change over a product's lifecycle as manufacturers update designs or release new appliance models. For your convenience, we've included any known superseded, alternate, or cross-reference part numbers that match this item.
Replaces Part Numbers

If your part number is not listed above, contact our support team before ordering and we will verify compatibility.
Compatibility
This drum roller is compatible with select LG-built dryers from the following brands:
LG dryers (including DLG59988S, DLE9577SM, DLE0442W, DLE8377NW, and related models)
Kenmore / Sears dryers (select LG-built models)
GE dryers (select LG-built models)
Worth Noting: Our sourcing found 4581EL2002L currently listed by the manufacturer as a 4-roller kit that itself lists 4581EL2002H among the numbers it replaces — while 4581EL2002H (this listing) is sold as a single roller assembly. Rather than one version cleanly superseding the other, these appear to be the same roller design sold under two different SKUs at two different quantities (single vs. 4-pack). Confirm how many rollers your dryer's parts diagram calls for, and contact our support team with your model number if you want to verify which listing fits your order best.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Dryer Before Starting Disconnect power before beginning. Remove the front panel (typically held by spring clips or screws behind the door frame) to access the drum. Support the drum from the front so it doesn't drop once the front panel is off. Locate the roller assemblies on the support shafts at the rear or bottom of the drum cavity. Remove the retaining nut/clip holding the old roller onto its shaft, and slide the old roller off. Slide the new 4581EL2002H roller onto the shaft and secure it with the nut and washer, matching the original orientation. If replacing multiple rollers, repeat for each one — most technicians replace all rollers at once even if only one has failed, since the others are usually not far behind in wear. Reinstall the front panel and drum, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm the noise is gone and the drum spins smoothly. Tools needed: nut driver or socket set, putty knife (for spring clips, if applicable).
Frequently Asked Questions
My dryer makes a loud thumping or squeaking noise that speeds up with the drum — is this the part?
This is one of the most common symptoms of a worn drum roller bearing. As the bearing wears, the roller develops flat spots or excess play, producing a noise that tracks with drum rotation speed. Confirm by looking at the roller wheels through the front panel opening for visible wear, cracking, or flat spots before ordering.
Do I need one roller or a full set?
Check your dryer's parts diagram — most LG-platform drums use either two or four support rollers. This listing is for a single roller assembly. Even if only one roller is worn, many technicians replace the full set at once since the remaining originals are usually close behind in wear and it saves a repeat repair.
Is 4581EL2002H the same as 4581EL2002L?
They're the same roller design, but sold under different SKUs at different quantities — 4581EL2002H as a single roller, and 4581EL2002L as a 4-roller kit. Our sourcing found these numbers cross-referencing each other rather than one being a strict newer replacement for the other. Order based on how many rollers you actually need rather than assuming one number is more "current" than the other.
Do I need to replace the drum belt or idler pulley at the same time?
Not necessarily, but if your dryer has significant runtime, it's worth inspecting the drum belt and idler pulley (4400EL2001F and 4561EL3002A on this platform) while you have the drum out, since they're subject to similar wear and are far easier to replace with the drum already accessible.

Causes of a bad drive motor include motor burnout, worn bearings, or issues with the electrical connections.
Genuine OEM 279311 Dryer Igniter Kit and Bracket
The Genuine OEM Whirlpool 279311 is the gas dryer igniter kit with mounting bracket. The silicon carbide igniter glows to light the gas burner and produce the heat that dries your clothes. When the igniter weakens or breaks, the dryer tumbles but doesn't heat, because the gas valve never gets the signal to light the burner.
This is the original Whirlpool part. It is listed as a replacement for both round and flat igniters, so it covers a long list of older Whirlpool part numbers for gas dryers sold as Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, and KitchenAid.
Quick Answer
The Genuine OEM 279311 Igniter Kit and Bracket fixes a gas dryer that spins but doesn't heat because the igniter has burned out or is too weak to open the gas valve. It is for gas dryers only. Classic symptom: the drum turns and the dryer sounds normal, but clothes come out cold and damp, and you never see the igniter glow.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Gas dryer runs but doesn't heat
Clothes come out damp after a full cycle
Igniter never glows, or glows but the burner never lights
Cracked, broken, or burned igniter
Burner lights unreliably or only some of the time

Installation Notes
⚠️ Unplug Power and Shut Off the Gas Unplug the dryer and close the gas shutoff valve before beginning, and wear work gloves. Remove the panel that gives access to the burner assembly per your model's service guide, disconnect the igniter's wire connector, and remove the old igniter and bracket. The igniter is fragile, so handle it by the bracket and avoid bumping or squeezing the element. Install the new kit in the same position, reconnect the wires, then restore the gas and power and test the dryer for heat. If you smell gas at any point, stop, ventilate, and call your gas utility.
Frequently Asked Questions
My gas dryer spins but doesn't heat. Is this the part I need?
A failed igniter is a common cause. If you run the dryer and never see the igniter glow, or it glows but the burner doesn't light, test the igniter for continuity. A bad coil on the gas valve or a thermal fuse can cause the same symptom, so check those too.
Will this fit an electric dryer?
No. This igniter is for gas dryers only. Electric dryers use a heating element instead.
Why did my new igniter break?
Silicon carbide igniters are fragile. Handle the new one by the bracket, and don't press or bump the element during installation. A weak or restricted gas supply or a faulty gas valve can also make igniters fail early.
Will this fit my dryer?
It is listed for many Whirlpool-built gas dryers, but the model list above is only a sample. Check your model number against your parts diagram, or contact our support team and we'll verify it before you order.

Genuine OEM WH03X32217 Washer Motor Pulley
The WH03X32217 is a genuine OEM 1/2 HP motor pulley and nut from GE for GE, Hotpoint, Kenmore, and RCA washers. The pulley mounts on the motor shaft and carries the drive belt that transfers the motor's power to the drum, and the nut secures it to the shaft. A pulley that cracks, wears, or strips its threads can slip on the shaft, squeal, or stop driving the belt, so the drum turns poorly or not at all.
This is a genuine OEM part, not an aftermarket equivalent, so the fit and the shaft connection match the original. This pulley is for the 1/2 HP motor. Washers with the smaller 1/3 HP motor use a different pulley, so match the part before you order.
Quick Answer
The Genuine OEM WH03X32217 Motor Pulley and Nut fixes a GE-built washer whose 1/2 HP motor pulley is cracked, worn, or has stripped threads, causing a loud squeal, belt slipping, or a drum that won't turn. Genuine OEM from GE Appliances. Classic symptom: the motor runs but the drum turns weakly or not at all, often with a squealing or slipping noise.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Loud squealing from the motor and belt area
Drum not turning, or turning weakly, while the motor runs
Cracked, worn, or damaged plastic pulley
Stripped pulley threads or a pulley loose on the motor shaft
Drive belt slipping or wearing quickly

⚠️ Unplug Power Before Installing Unplug the washer and turn off the water supply before starting. Following your model's service guide, remove the panel needed to reach the motor and drive belt. Release the belt from the old pulley, then remove the nut holding the pulley to the motor shaft and take the pulley off. Fit the new pulley on the shaft, secure it with the nut, and refit the belt. Check that the belt sits correctly and is not worn, since a worn belt or transmission pulley can cause the same symptoms. Replace the panel, restore power and water, and run a short cycle to confirm the drum turns smoothly. Common tools are pliers, screwdrivers, and a socket set.
Frequently Asked Questions
My washer squeals and the drum won't turn. Is this the part I need?
It can be. A cracked or worn motor pulley can slip and squeal. Inspect the pulley for cracks, wear, or damaged threads, and check the belt and transmission pulley at the same time, since they can fail together.
Is this the right pulley for a 1/2 HP or a 1/3 HP motor?
This one is for the 1/2 HP motor. Washers with a 1/3 HP motor use a different pulley, so check your parts diagram or contact our support team with your model number.
Does it come with the nut?
GE lists this part as a motor pulley and nut. Contact us if you need to confirm what's in the package for your order.
Is this a genuine GE part?
Yes. This is a genuine OEM part from GE Appliances, not an aftermarket equivalent.

XPARTCO 285753A Washer Direct Drive Motor Coupler
The XPARTCO 285753A is an aftermarket replacement direct drive motor coupler (also called a motor coupling or drive coupler) compatible with a wide range of Whirlpool-family top-load washers including Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Roper, Admiral, Estate, Crosley, Inglis, and Magic Chef. The motor coupler connects the drive motor shaft to the transmission — transferring the motor's power to the transmission to drive the agitator and spin the drum during wash and spin cycles. It is a deliberate weak point in the drivetrain: if the washer is overloaded, the coupler breaks apart first, protecting the far more expensive motor and transmission from damage.
This is the updated 285753A design with metal sleeves for added strength — it replaces all previous coupler styles and versions including the original 285753, 280152, 285743, and 285140. This kit includes 2 plastic coupling halves and 1 rubber isolation dampener. Dimensions approximately 2" L x 1-1/4" W x 2" H. Fits direct-drive top-load washers only — not compatible with belt-drive machines. Installs in 30–45 minutes with basic hand tools.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 285753A Washer Motor Coupler fixes top-load washers that fill and drain normally but will not agitate or spin. The motor coupler connects the motor to the transmission — when it breaks, the motor runs but neither the agitator nor the drum moves. Kit includes 2 plastic coupling halves and 1 rubber dampener. Updated design with metal sleeves. Replaces all previous coupler versions including 285753, 280152, 285743, 285140. Compatible with Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Roper, Admiral, and more direct-drive top-load washers.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Washer fills with water and drains but will not agitate or spin
Motor runs (you can hear it) but agitator and drum do not move
Washer spins slowly or incompletely — clothes still very wet after spin cycle
Loud humming or buzzing from the motor area without agitation or spin
Burning rubber or plastic smell during the wash or spin cycle
Washer shakes excessively — broken coupler causing uneven power transfer
Broken plastic or rubber pieces visible inside the bottom of the washer cabinet
Replaces Part Numbers
This motor coupler directly replaces the following OEM and cross-reference part numbers:
285753A, 1195967, 21003, 280152, 285140, 285743, 285753, 285753AVP, 3352470, 3363664, 3364002, 3364003, 62672, 62693, 661560, 80008, 8559748, AWP39583, PD00002353, AH1485646, EAP1485646, EA1485646, TJ285753, ER285753, AP3963893, PS1485646.
The 285753A replaces all previous motor coupler styles and versions. If your parts diagram shows any of the older numbers above, the 285753A is the correct current replacement.
Compatibility
This motor coupler is compatible with select direct-drive top-load washers from the following brands:
Whirlpool top-load washers (direct drive — no belt)
Kenmore / Sears top-load washers — 70 series, 80 series, 90 series, and 110 series (Whirlpool-built)
KitchenAid top-load washers
Maytag top-load washers (direct drive models)
Amana top-load washers
Roper top-load washers
Admiral top-load washers
Estate top-load washers
Crosley top-load washers
Inglis top-load washers
Magic Chef top-load washers
Important: The 285753A is for direct-drive top-load washers only — machines where the motor connects directly to the transmission without a belt. It is not compatible with front-load washers or older belt-drive top-load washers. If you can see a drive belt inside your washer cabinet, this is not the correct part.
Key Features
Connects the drive motor shaft to the transmission — transfers motor power to drive the agitator and spin drum
Intentional sacrificial part — designed to break before the motor or transmission during overload, saving far more expensive components
Updated 285753A design with metal sleeves — stronger than original all-plastic versions; replaces all previous coupler styles
Kit includes 2 plastic coupling halves and 1 rubber isolation dampener — complete assembly
Dimensions: approximately 2" L x 1-1/4" W x 2" H
Compatible with Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Roper, Admiral, Estate, Crosley, Inglis, and Magic Chef direct-drive washers
Replaces all previous coupler versions including 285753, 280152, 285743, and 285140
Aftermarket replacement built to OEM-equivalent quality standards
Cost-effective DIY repair — typically under $15 and 30–45 minutes of work

⚠️ Unplug Washer and Shut Off Water Before Starting Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before beginning. Remove the washer's cabinet by releasing the top panel clips and removing the front panel screws — the motor and transmission are at the bottom of the machine. The motor coupler is a three-piece assembly between the motor shaft and the transmission input shaft. Pull the motor forward to release it from the mounting clips. The broken coupler pieces will likely fall out at this point — inspect the motor shaft and transmission shaft for any remaining plastic debris and clear it. Press the new rubber dampener onto the motor shaft coupling half first, then onto the transmission shaft coupling half, and snap the motor back into the mounting clips. Verify both coupler halves are seated securely and the rubber dampener is centered between them. Reassemble the front panel and top panel. Restore power and run a short cycle to confirm the agitator and spin function normally. Work gloves recommended — sharp sheet metal edges inside the cabinet. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 1/4" nut driver, flat-head screwdriver, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the motor coupler do?
The motor coupler is a three-piece assembly — two plastic coupling halves and a rubber dampener — that connects the drive motor shaft to the transmission input shaft in direct-drive washing machines. The motor spins the coupler, which transfers that rotation to the transmission, which in turn drives the agitator and drum. The rubber dampener absorbs shock and vibration between the rigid motor and transmission shafts during direction changes. The coupler is intentionally designed as the weakest link in the drivetrain — if the washer is overloaded or the transmission seizes, the coupler breaks first to protect the far more expensive motor and transmission from damage.
My washer fills and drains but won't agitate or spin — is the motor coupler the cause?
Yes — this is the classic symptom of a broken motor coupler. Because the pump is typically driven directly by the motor before the coupler connection, a broken coupler allows the motor to run and the pump to drain normally, but neither the agitator nor the spin drum receives any power. If you can hear the motor running but nothing moves, open the washer cabinet and inspect the coupler — you will likely find broken plastic pieces at the bottom of the cabinet near the motor and transmission.
Why does the motor coupler break?
The most common cause is overloading — packing too many heavy items into the washer creates enough mechanical resistance that the coupler snaps rather than allowing the motor to be damaged. Other causes include a worn or seized transmission, a worn motor, normal wear over many years of use, or a single sudden jam caused by a foreign object. If your coupler breaks a second time shortly after replacement, inspect the transmission for signs of wear or binding — a stiff or seized transmission will continue to break new couplers.
What is the difference between 285753 and 285753A?
The 285753A is the updated current version that superseded the original 285753. The A version incorporates metal sleeve inserts in the plastic coupling halves for improved strength and durability compared to the original all-plastic design. The 285753A replaces all previous versions — including 285753, 280152, 285743, and 285140 — and is the correct part to order regardless of which older number is listed in your washer's parts diagram.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine Whirlpool OEM part, but is manufactured from rubber, plastic, and metal to match the dimensions and performance of the original 285753A motor coupler.
