Ensure the element sits flat in the drip pan. If the burner is not level, adjust the connection bolts to ensure they are parallel and push down gently. Installation takes 5–10 minutes. Note: A slight burning smell during first use is normal due to a protective coating; this will dissipate after 15–20 minutes.
