⚠️ Unplug Washer and Shut Off Water Before Starting Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before beginning. Remove the washer's cabinet by releasing the top panel clips and removing the front panel screws — the motor and transmission are at the bottom of the machine. The motor coupler is a three-piece assembly between the motor shaft and the transmission input shaft. Pull the motor forward to release it from the mounting clips. The broken coupler pieces will likely fall out at this point — inspect the motor shaft and transmission shaft for any remaining plastic debris and clear it. Press the new rubber dampener onto the motor shaft coupling half first, then onto the transmission shaft coupling half, and snap the motor back into the mounting clips. Verify both coupler halves are seated securely and the rubber dampener is centered between them. Reassemble the front panel and top panel. Restore power and run a short cycle to confirm the agitator and spin function normally. Work gloves recommended — sharp sheet metal edges inside the cabinet.
