XPARTCO W10498976 Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve Replaces WPW10498976
The XPARTCO W10498976 is an aftermarket replacement refrigerator water inlet valve assembly compatible with select Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Kenmore, and Ikea bottom-freezer and French door refrigerators in the WRB, WRF, MBF, GX5, GB9, GB2, and related series. The water inlet valve is a solenoid-operated valve mounted on the back of the refrigerator that controls the flow of water from the household supply line to the ice maker and, on models with a door dispenser, to the water dispenser. When the solenoid coil burns out or the valve seat becomes clogged with mineral deposits, the ice maker stops producing ice, the water dispenser stops working, water trickles weakly, or water leaks from the valve body.
Rated 120V, 50/60Hz, 35W solenoid, this valve measures 3-1/2"L x 2-3/4"W x 3"H and includes the valve body and mounting bracket. It connects via 1/4" inlet fitting to the household supply line and uses push-in tube fittings on the outlet side. It directly replaces WPW10498976, W10420082, W10498974, K-78200, K-78186, 2684516, 2315508, IMV-576, AP6022334, EAP11755667, PD00024636, PS11755667, WP2315576, and WV8047. ⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator and Shut Off Water Before Starting Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the household water supply valve before beginning. Place a towel and small container under the valve area to catch residual water. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall to access the back lower panel — remove the panel screws to expose the water inlet valve. Photograph the wiring harness connections and water tube connections before disconnecting. Turn off the water supply and disconnect the 1/4" supply line from the valve inlet — use an adjustable wrench, as some compression fittings may be stuck. Squeeze the plastic retaining clips on the outlet tube fittings and pull the internal water tubes free. Disconnect the wiring harness. Unscrew the mounting bracket and remove the old valve. Install the new W10498976 valve with its bracket, reconnect the internal water tubes (push until they click), reconnect the wire harness and supply line. Restore water supply and power. Run a water dispenser test and check for leaks. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench, needle-nose pliers.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the refrigerator water inlet valve do?
The water inlet valve is an electrically controlled solenoid valve that opens on command from the refrigerator's control board to allow household water pressure to push water through to the ice maker fill tube or the water dispenser. When the ice maker calls for water or you press the dispenser lever, the board sends voltage to the solenoid coil, which opens the valve. When the demand is satisfied, the voltage stops, the spring closes the valve, and water flow stops. A failed solenoid coil — or a valve seat clogged with mineral deposits — prevents the valve from opening or closing correctly, causing no water, weak water, overflow, or dripping.
What is the difference between W10498976 and WPW10498976?
These are the same water inlet valve. WPW10498976 is the updated Whirlpool OEM part number that superseded the original W10498976. The W10420082 and W10498974 are also cross-references for this same valve from earlier production runs. This aftermarket replacement is compatible with all of these numbers.
How do I know if the water inlet valve has failed vs. something else?
First confirm the household water supply valve behind the refrigerator is fully open and the supply line is not kinked. Then check the water filter — a clogged filter is one of the most common causes of weak or no water flow and is mistaken for a valve failure. If both supply pressure and the filter are good, test the valve's solenoid coil with a multimeter — a working coil reads 200–500 ohms of resistance; an open circuit confirms failure. If the solenoid tests good but the valve still does not open when the control board sends voltage, the valve seat may be physically clogged with mineral deposits and the valve needs to be replaced.
My ice maker is not working but my water dispenser is fine — is it the valve?
Possibly — but if the water dispenser works normally, the main valve solenoid is likely functioning. On some refrigerator configurations, the ice maker and the dispenser are controlled by separate solenoid ports on the valve assembly. If only the ice maker port has failed, the dispenser can continue working while ice production stops. Test the ice maker solenoid coil separately. However, a more common cause of ice maker failure with a working dispenser is the ice maker module, freezer temperature, or ice maker shut-off arm — rule out those causes before replacing the valve.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket replacement part built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. It is not a genuine Whirlpool OEM part, but is manufactured from plastic and metal to match the electrical specifications and dimensions of the original WPW10498976 water inlet valve assembly.

XPARTCO 3405-001034 Microwave Door Switch (Normally Open)
The XPARTCO 3405-001034 is an aftermarket replacement normally open (NO) microwave door interlock switch for select Samsung, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore and other microwave ovens, replacing part 3405-001034. The switch detects when the door is fully closed and completes the safety circuit, so the microwave runs only when the door is shut. When it fails, the microwave may not start, may not heat, or may only run if you push or jiggle the door.
Microwaves often use more than one door switch, and each is sold individually. Check that the switch you are replacing is the normally open type and goes in the same position.
⚠️ Critical Safety Part — Switch Type And Position Must Match Exactly Door interlock switches work together as a safety system. Installing the wrong type (normally open vs. normally closed) or putting a switch in the wrong position can let the microwave run with the door open, a serious radiation hazard. Replace each switch with the exact same type in the exact same position, and test the microwave after replacement. If you are not qualified to service microwave ovens, use a trained technician.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO 3405-001034 Microwave Door Switch (Normally Open) replaces a failed normally open door interlock switch on a compatible microwave. Replaces 3405-001034 and 3405-000178. Classic symptoms: the microwave won't start, won't heat, or only runs when you push or jiggle the door.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Microwave won't start
Microwave runs but doesn't heat
Microwave only works if you push or jiggle the door
Microwave doesn't shut off properly when the door opens

⚠️ Unplug Microwave And Beware Of The High Voltage Capacitor Unplug the microwave before starting and never operate it with the cabinet open. The high voltage capacitor can hold a lethal charge even after the microwave is unplugged. If your repair requires removing the outer cabinet, discharge the capacitor safely first, or have a qualified technician do the work.
⚠️ Photograph Switch Positions Before Removing Anything The switches are accessed at the door latch assembly. Before disconnecting anything, photograph each switch and its wiring, and move the wires one at a time so each goes back to the correct terminal. Make sure the actuator lines up with the latch and the switch clicks freely. After reassembly, test the microwave with a microwave-safe cup of water.
Frequently Asked Questions
My microwave won't heat or start. Is this the part I need?
A failed door switch is a common cause, but a microwave has several switches and other parts can cause the same symptoms. Identify which switch failed and confirm it is normally open before ordering.
Is this switch normally open or normally closed?

2 Pack - XPARTCO DE63-00666A Microwave Grease Filter
The XPARTCO DE63-00666A is an aftermarket replacement aluminum mesh grease filter for Samsung, GE, and Kenmore over-the-range microwaves. This 12-layer aluminum mesh filter sits in the vent opening on the bottom of the microwave and captures airborne grease from cooking below before it can be pulled into the microwave's internal fan, motor, and electronics. Over time the mesh becomes saturated with grease and cooking residue, which restricts airflow, reduces the range hood function's effectiveness, and — if left unreplaced — creates a fire hazard from trapped, hardened grease.
This is a direct-fit aftermarket replacement built to the same dimensions and 12-layer mesh construction as the original filter. Regular replacement (most manufacturers recommend every 1–2 years depending on cooking frequency) keeps ventilation performance up and reduces fire risk.
Quick Answer
The XPARTCO DE63-00666A Microwave Grease Filter fixes reduced range-hood suction, lingering cooking odors/smoke, or a visibly grease-clogged filter on Samsung, GE, and Kenmore over-the-range microwaves. 12-layer aluminum mesh, approx. 6-3/4" x 6-3/8". Classic symptom: weaker venting over the stovetop, or a filter that looks dark, gummy, or saturated with grease.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Weak or reduced range-hood ventilation over the stovetop
Lingering smoke, steam, or cooking odors that don't clear
Visibly clogged, discolored, or grease-saturated filter mesh
Increased fire risk from accumulated grease buildup
Microwave fan sounds like it's working harder than normal
Grease dripping or residue visible around the vent opening
Cross Reference Information
Part numbers can change over a product's lifecycle as manufacturers update designs or release new appliance models. For your convenience, we've included any known superseded, alternate, or cross-reference part numbers that match this item.
Replaces Part Numbers
This grease filter directly replaces the following part numbers:
DE63-00666A, AP5306190, ASM36232, EAP4228252, PD00031284, PS4228252, WB02X11534, 2309683, AP5331907, 2218485, AGE21451, AH3506741, EA3506741, PD00035255, PS3506741
AP5306190 was the earlier part number for this filter, later superseded by DE63-00666A under Samsung's current numbering. WB02X11534 is the equivalent GE-branded part number for the same physical filter design.
Note: DE63-00367G is a separate charcoal/carbon odor filter often sold alongside this aluminum grease filter for ductless (recirculating) installations. It is a different part and is not interchangeable with this grease filter — do not confuse the two when ordering.
Compatibility
This grease filter is compatible with the following Samsung and Kenmore over-the-range microwave models:
Samsung: CVM517P2M1S1, CVM521P2M1S1, DVM7195BL2TS, JNM7196DK4BB/WW, JVM-1950BTC01/STC01/WTC01, JVM7195DK4BB/WW, MC17J8000CG/CS, MC17J8100CS, MC17T8000CG/CS, ME16A4021AB/AS/AW, ME16H702SEB/SES
Kenmore: 40185052010, 40185052210, 40185052310, 40185053010, 40185053210, 40185053310, 40185059010, 40185059210
Note: Via the equivalent WB02X11534 part number, this same filter design is also used on select GE over-the-range microwaves. Installation Notes
ℹ️ No Tools Required Unplug the microwave or switch off its circuit breaker before beginning, as a safety precaution. Locate the grease filter along the bottom vent opening of the microwave — it typically has a small tab or handle and slides straight out once released from its retaining clips. Remove the old filter and note its orientation. Slide the new filter into the same position and orientation, pressing gently until it clicks or seats into the retaining clips. No screwdriver or other tools are needed. For best results, clean or replace this filter regularly, especially if you cook frequently or fry foods often, since grease buildup accelerates with heavier cooking use.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my grease filter needs replacing?
Look for a mesh filter that appears dark, gummy, or heavily coated with grease residue, or notice reduced ventilation performance and lingering cooking smoke or odors. Most manufacturers recommend replacing this filter every 1–2 years depending on how often you cook.
Can I wash and reuse the grease filter instead of replacing it?
Some aluminum mesh grease filters can be hand-washed with degreasing dish soap, but heavily saturated or discolored filters lose effectiveness over time even after washing. If yours is old, warped, or has visible buildup that won't clean out, replacement is the more reliable fix.
Is this the same as the charcoal/odor filter?
No. This is the aluminum mesh grease filter, which traps grease particles. The charcoal/carbon filter (DE63-00367G) is a separate component used for odor control in ductless recirculating installations. They are not interchangeable — check which one your microwave uses before ordering.
Will this fit my GE microwave?
This filter design is also sold under the GE part number WB02X11534 for the same physical filter. We don't have a confirmed GE model list, so compare your existing filter's dimensions against this listing or contact our support team with your model number to verify before ordering.

242252702 Genuine OEM Frigidaire Refrigerator Water Valve
The 242252702 is a genuine Frigidaire OEM triple-solenoid water inlet valve assembly for Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Crosley, and White-Westinghouse side-by-side refrigerators. This valve is the central control point where your home's water supply connects to the refrigerator, and it manages water flow to both the ice maker and the door-mounted water dispenser through three separate solenoids housed in one assembly, each opening independently depending on what's being called for.
Rated 120V, 50/60Hz per solenoid (20W maroon, 20W yellow, 35W green — each solenoid's wire is color-coded), this valve has 4 outlets total: one 1/4" tube inlet, three 5/16" tube outlets, and one 1/4" tube outlet. It measures approximately 7-1/8"L x 3-3/4"W x 3-1/4"H and ships as a complete assembly with mounting bracket and installation instructions. This valve directly replaces the older 241734302 design and uses updated quick-connect fittings in place of the older screw-on style. A failing valve typically shows up as the ice maker or dispenser not working, slow water flow, or — notably — an overflowing ice maker caused by the valve not shutting off completely if household water pressure is too low. It directly replaces 240321801, 240505101, 240505102, 240508101, 240508102, 240531101, 241734301, 241734302, 7241734301, WV2702, 2692163, AP5671757, EAP7784018, PD00000153, PS7784018, and K-76150.
Quick Answer
The 242252702 Genuine OEM Frigidaire Refrigerator Water Valve fixes Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Crosley, and White-Westinghouse side-by-side refrigerators where the ice maker or water dispenser isn't working, water flow is slow, or the ice maker is overflowing. Triple-solenoid, 4-outlet valve assembly with bracket. Replaces 240321801, 240505101, 240505102, 240508101, 240508102, 240531101, 241734301, 241734302, 7241734301, WV2702, 2692163, AP5671757, EAP7784018, PD00000153, PS7784018, K-76150. This valve needs at least 20 psi of household water pressure to shut off completely — if pressure is too low, the valve can leak and cause the ice maker to overflow even when the valve itself is functioning correctly.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Ice maker has stopped making ice, or is producing less ice than usual
Water dispenser on the refrigerator door isn't working or has slowed down
Ice maker overflowing or leaking
Slow water flow at the dispenser
Water leaking near the valve at the back of the refrigerator
Error code related to the water system displayed on some models
Cracked or physically damaged valve housing

⚠️ Unplug Refrigerator And Shut Off Water Supply Before Starting Disconnect power at the outlet and shut off the water supply before beginning. Wear work gloves. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall for access, then locate the valve at the rear of the cabinet. Remove the two hex screws securing the old valve. Before disconnecting anything, note or photograph which plastic tube connects to which port on the multi-port valve assembly — with three solenoids and multiple outlets, getting a hose on the wrong port will send water to the wrong place. Disconnect the water supply hose, the electrical connectors (which are color-coded to their matching solenoids on the new valve), and the outlet hoses, then remove the old valve. Install the new 242252702 in the same position with its included mounting bracket, secure it with the hex screws, and reconnect each outlet hose to its correct port exactly as noted. Reconnect the color-coded electrical connectors to their matching solenoid wires. Reattach the water supply hose, tightening securely. While the back of the refrigerator is accessible, it's also a good opportunity to clean the condenser coils and surrounding area. Restore the water supply and check every connection for leaks before restoring power. Push the refrigerator back into place, then test both the ice maker and water dispenser over the following day. Tools needed: hex screwdriver or nut driver, pliers, work gloves.
Frequently Asked Questions
My ice maker is overflowing. Is this the valve?
Possibly, but check your household water pressure first. This valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to shut off fully — if your home's water pressure is below that, the valve may not close completely even though it's functioning correctly, letting water leak through and overflow the ice maker. If your water pressure tests below 20 psi, that's the underlying cause rather than a defective valve, and addressing the pressure issue (or installing a pressure-boosting solution) is the correct fix.
The new valve looks different from my old one. Is that normal?
Yes. This valve has been updated to use quick-connect fittings in place of the older screw-on style used on earlier units, so the connection points may look different from what you're used to. It's still a correct, direct functional replacement — the new fittings just make installation somewhat easier.
How do I know which hose goes where? This valve has multiple outlets.
Note or photograph the hose routing on your old valve before disconnecting anything — with three solenoids and four total outlets, it's easy to reverse a connection if you're not careful. The electrical connectors are color-coded (maroon, yellow, green) to help you match them to the correct solenoid on the new valve, which makes the wiring side more foolproof than the hose routing.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is a genuine OEM part, manufactured by Frigidaire to factory specifications — guaranteed fit, materials, and performance. It matches the original triple-solenoid design, wattage per solenoid, and outlet configuration of the water valve originally installed in your refrigerator.

XPARTCO BPV-31 Refrigerator Refrigerant Piercing Valve / Line Tap Valve Kit
The XPARTCO BPV-31 is a universal bullet piercing tap valve (line tap valve) used to quickly access a sealed refrigerant line on refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and other HVAC systems — without soldering or brazing. The valve clamps around a copper refrigerant line and, when the valve stem is tightened with the included hex key, a hardened piercing needle punctures the tubing to create an access port. This lets a technician connect a charging hose or gauge to check pressure, pull a vacuum, or add refrigerant to a system that has no factory service port. It's a staple tool for appliance service and DIY refrigerator/freezer repair.
Fits 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" outside diameter copper pipes with the included adapters. The access port connection is a 1/4" male flare fitting. Rated to 500 PSI maximum, with a patented permanent gasket providing over 180 inch-lbs of sealing force — around 50 times the sealing area of a standard O-ring type valve — pressure tested at 250°F. Corrosion-resistant metal (zinc alloy) construction with a piercing needle engineered for concentricity and hardness to seat perfectly every time. Non-positional mounting requires no separate adapter valve and only 2" of clearance for installation. Each kit includes the piercing valve, a hex key wrench, and 2 adapters. It replaces AP4502525, BPV31, BPV31D, GPV14, GPV31, GPV38, GPV56, and MPV31.

Installation Notes
⚠️ Refrigerant Safety Warning Working with sealed refrigerant systems can expose you to pressurized refrigerant, which can cause frostbite, eye injury, and other harm. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves before piercing any line. Refrigerant handling may be regulated in your area — certain refrigerants require EPA certification (in the US) to purchase and handle. Never vent refrigerant to the atmosphere. This valve is NOT rated for R410a systems (too high pressure). If you're not experienced with refrigerant systems, have this work done by a qualified HVAC or appliance technician.
⚠️ Installation Steps — Clean the Line First Put on safety glasses and protective gloves. Identify the copper line you want to tap and confirm its outside diameter (1/4", 5/16", or 3/8") so you can select the correct included adapter. Clean the section of pipe where the valve will mount to prevent debris from entering the refrigerant line. Ensure the composite seal "O" ring/gasket is properly in place inside the valve. Place the two halves of the valve saddle around the pipe using the appropriate adapter insert for your pipe size. Install and evenly tighten the socket-head screws to clamp the valve body firmly around the pipe. To pierce the line, turn the valve stem clockwise with the included hex key until the needle punctures the tubing, then back the stem out (counterclockwise) to open the port and allow flow. To connect a gauge or charging hose: remove the cap, attach your hose to the 1/4" flare port, and open the valve by turning the stem counterclockwise. When finished, close the valve (turn the stem clockwise) BEFORE disconnecting the hose, then reinstall the protective cap. Note: the compact valve needs only 2" of clearance around the pipe. Tools needed: Included hex key wrench, safety glasses, protective gloves. (Note: to attach a gauge directly to the BPV, a retrofit valve adapter may be required — not included.)
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a bullet piercing valve used for?
A bullet piercing valve (line tap valve) lets you tap into a sealed copper refrigerant line to create an access port — without cutting, soldering, or brazing the line. Most household refrigerators and freezers are sealed systems with no factory service port, so if you need to check the refrigerant pressure, pull a vacuum, or add refrigerant, a piercing valve gives you that access quickly. It clamps around the pipe, and a needle pierces the tubing when you tighten the valve stem. It's commonly used in appliance repair and HVAC service, and by DIYers reviving a garage refrigerator or freezer that has lost its charge.
Which pipe sizes does this fit?
The BPV-31 fits 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" outside diameter copper pipes using the included adapters. Before installing, measure or confirm your refrigerant line's outside diameter and select the matching adapter insert. Getting the size right is essential for a proper seal — an incorrectly sized adapter won't clamp tightly and can leak. If you're not sure of your line size, measure the outside diameter of the copper tubing with calipers or a pipe gauge.
Can I use this on an R410a system?
No — the BPV-31 is NOT rated for R410a refrigerant systems. R410a operates at significantly higher pressures than older refrigerants like R-12, R-22, and R-134a, and exceeds the safe working pressure of this valve (500 PSI max). Using it on an R410a system is unsafe and could result in valve failure or refrigerant release. This valve is appropriate for lower-pressure systems using R-12, R-22, R-134a, and similar refrigerants. For R410a systems, use service equipment specifically rated for R410a pressures.
Is a piercing valve a permanent solution?
Piercing valves are best thought of as a service-access tool rather than a permanent fixture. They work reliably for tapping into a line to diagnose, vacuum, or charge a system, and the BPV-31's patented gasket provides a much stronger seal than basic O-ring valves. However, for a long-term permanent service port, many technicians prefer to cut the line and braze in a proper Schrader service port. Some technicians have concerns about the very long-term sealing of any piercing valve left permanently on a line. If you leave the valve installed, make sure the stem is closed and the cap is in place, and check periodically for leaks.
Do I need EPA certification to add refrigerant?
In the United States, handling many refrigerants (and purchasing them) requires EPA Section 608 certification, and it is illegal to intentionally vent refrigerant to the atmosphere. Regulations vary by refrigerant type and jurisdiction. The piercing valve itself is a tool that anyone can install, but the refrigerant handling that follows may be regulated. If you're a DIYer, research the rules that apply to your specific refrigerant and location, or have the refrigerant work done by a certified technician. Always recover refrigerant properly rather than venting it.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
This is an aftermarket universal service tool built to OEM-equivalent quality standards. The BPV-31 is a universal industry-standard bullet piercing valve design (also sold as Supco BPV31 and equivalent), manufactured from corrosion-resistant zinc alloy to match the fit, 1/4"/5/16"/3/8" pipe compatibility, 1/4" flare port, 500 PSI rating, and patented-style sealing gasket of the standard BPV-31 line tap valve. It replaces AP4502525, BPV31D, GPV14, GPV31, GPV38, GPV56, and MPV31.
