Description: This suspension rod kit is a replacement part for use in washing machines. The kit reduces the movement of the tub during the spinning cycle. These rods provide a cushion to the drum to prevent excessive vibrating. Over time, the tension placed on the rods will cause them to stretch and possibly break. Broken or stretched rods will cause the machine to make a loud knocking noise during the spin cycle. This noise is the tub hitting the drum as it spins since there is not a cushion to prevent the banging. The drum of the washing machine will also look unbalanced if a rod is broken or stretched. Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet and pull it away from the wall to have room to work. Remove the front and top panels and locate the tension rod. Lift the tub to remove the tension from the damaged rod and remove the connection to the rod. Pull the damaged rod out and install the new rod assembly. Reassemble the washing machine. Plug the machine back into the electrical outlet and push the machine back into place. This suspension kit contains four each suspension rods, bushings, and suspension balls.
